Frankie's Story: Frankie was handed into to Rescue he bounced once for grumbling at a visitor. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Frankie is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Frankie is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Frankie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal an evolving picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: 21.12.21: Hi Lynne do you have any room at all? I am desperate for space up here. I
have a little scruffy male terrier you could have who is just typical guarder of his lady but a super sweet boy. Just needs someone who understands terriers, please can you help? x Mary

What a cutie. Lynne brought out little Frankie, tucked under her arm. He was patient while Lynne changed his harness, then it was time for his photoshoot. Photos done, Frankie and I headed off to explore the woodland. He was happy to trot along beside me on the lead and enjoyed investigating all the new smells around. He stopped frequently to sniff, occasionally trying to head off into the undergrowth seeking out a more interesting smell, or trying to chase a squirrel.

Frankie is in foster with John and Margaret and settling well. He was a little growly on arrival and so we are trying to see what his concerns are as we look for his new family.

Frankie came back into kennels and is having a reunion with all his friends. Very easy to manage in kennels and loves to share his walks with other dogs. He can be protective of his 'Special' person in the home at night for some reasons which is the main reason we are considering when finding his new home.

Took Frankie out for a little stroll in the sun today, for a little dog he is not afraid of others roflmao.gif we bumped into Hugo mastiff on our walk and he was not fazed at all in fact he got a bit rowdy thinking he was bigger than Hugo roflmao.gif then it was Royce’s turn. He doesn’t let anything phase him and he is such a pleasure to walk

Fiona travelled to meet Frankie today. They enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine and then was joined by Johnny...

And this the formal homing picture before Frankie travelled in style to his new home.
