Re: Padds Akita x Staffie DofB 03.03.18 Gatwick Kenns
Watching Padds out and about it is great to see him settling better on his walks. He is such a softie and a people dog through and through. Inviting people into his kennels for cuddles.

My first walk with Padds. A nice greeting when I entered his kennel and not too much trouble to put his muzzle on. He sets a fast pace and pulls a bit on the lead but is responsive to his name, here and sit. I saw the two sides of his crossbreeding in 50 yards though and had to chuckle. At one minute he was upside down basking in the sun with me rubbing his tummy. I swear people driving past thought he had been run over and I was saying goodbye. The next minute he was protecting me from a non-existent threat from a dog across the road and lungeing with full commitment!
We followed that dog for a few hundred metres at a distance and he kept a watchful eye on it and went back to his playful upside down self trying to get his muzzle off. We sat for a while back at the centre feeling the heat of the sun and then I took him back to his kennel where I sat with him for a bit before leaving him.

Carbon copy walk with him this week. He is so sweet natured when not distracted by other dogs.

Lovely walk with Padds yesterday. When I went to get him he was so good, no jumping up, not too much running around putting his muzzle on and walked passed the other kennel without reacting to the lealous barking of the other dogs. I avoided going to areas where there might be other dogs and as a consequence he was chilled the whole walk long.

Padds is such a lovely natured dog. Gentle and sweet when you pop in to get him, willing to put on his muzzle, and very happy pottering out and about. He doesn't pull, listens to commands, and comes in for a bit of fuss here and there. He's not the biggest fan of dogs but it's entirely manageable. We were confronted with quite a few whilst out recently, and he dances about on the lead but soon forgets about them once you've moved on. I'm a big fan, and look forward to my next walk.

Hi Everyone
Quick update
We have had Padds with us now for almost a week and honestly it feels like he has been with us forever. We have found he loves sunbathing in the garden, enjoys a treat of banana and apple and he loves the comfort of the sofa. He has started to join me on the sofa for a hug now which is lovely
He is such a lovely natured dog and a real people pleaser. We are so grateful to Rescue Remedies for saving him and for letting us give him a home.
Thank you
Lisa, Danny, Alice (and Padds!) xx
