Chewie likes other dogs and is also doing well with not jumping and grabbing. He likes being off lead in the paddock and is getting used to being stroked without using his mouth too much. Here he is with Tye again....who usually ignores him most of the time.

With my trusted teddy bear, Chewie had a lovely walk and play time in the paddock today. He certainly has come on from his grabbing days and is a joy to walk…..as long as you have something for him to hold onto, it’s like a comfort blanket for him He was very well behaved and loves his time in the paddock

Chewie was in good form today. Some time in the paddock was followed by a slow walk in the woods.

Only had time for short walk with Chewie today. He's such a happy boy when he's out and about.

Chewie was super relaxed today. We walked with Philip for a while then peeled off for another circuit of the lower wood. He got a little mouthy when waiting to go back into his kennel, but it was no big deal.

I just really love this boy. I haven't ever walked him but he is so friendly through his door, tail wagging, whole body wagging and he just loves his Thursday bone. Such a great dog!

Chewie ventured on to the common today. We went quite a distance before he wanted to come back. He will look at you when he's unsure or nervous. These are triggers for his mouthing. Gentle reassurance and a soft touch seem to sooth him? He always seems happy and likes other dogs and people.

I walked Chewie yesterday. He is much calmer than he used to be, we left the kennel in good order, and had a lovely, slow walk. Chewie behaved very well, and enjoyed all the sights, sounds and smells on offer.

Chewie met Darwin today. Chewie's pretty good around other dogs and Darwin was play bowing on the other side of the paddock fence so we let them meet.

I never quite realised how unsure of himself Chewie is. The kennel grounds are a safe place for him. In the past he has started grabbing when in the woods I.e when he's away from the safe place. I see now that he slows down a little then turns and looks for reassurance. I've been standing right next to him with his head on my thigh then stroking him. At the moment it's working.
