Will's Story: Will was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Northern council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Will is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Will was in boarding kennels near Gatwick then in foster with a family and 2 other Chows and 2 children whilst awaiting his new family.

If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and we will only contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers in particular. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

He’d had a long journey but was happy to pose as I had some of Diana’s home made liver cake in my hand!!! Will got it as his reward and can vouch for the fact that it was delicious !

I got the chance to walk Will today and I discovered he is a lovely, quiet, friendly chap. On entering his kennel, he was lying having a snooze so I called his name and he got up and came and gave me a sniff and a nuzzle. I picked up his lead and he walked out past Rocky, who was shouting, without a fuss. As you would expect for his age, he is a plodder and he likes to stop for a long time in one spot and sniff. Patience is required with this boy. thumbs.gif He has a bit of a stubborn streak but a bit of enthusiastic persuasion soon got him going the way I wanted to go. thumbs.gif Will was not at all bothered by the rain and was a pleasure to walk.

Will came and met our Vet on Tuesday. He met him in his aloof and gentle way with the Vet on the floor and he snuggled into his chest. He checked his fur and said it wasn't that bad and could do with a good brush. He is thin under his coat and I weighted him: 25 kilos. Will only did one 'lion roar' of protect and it soon passed and the Vet was able to 1st vaccinate him.

We are booking him in for neuter, dental and 2nd vax in 2 weeks time.

His chip tells us he was chipped as a puppy and his date of birth is 27th Aug 09.

I didnt have too much trouble getting him in and out of the dog mobile. Will has a very calm air about him and reminds me of a Lion King

Will and I have been enjoying walks. He walks with determination and takes his time if he finds an interesting smell. He is a quiet, affectionate boy who just wants to be out and about, exploring.
Yesterday he came across Georgie the cat. He was not interested in Georgie who was posturing and expecting a confrontation but Will played it cool, just looking and then walking away.

My second walk with Will love4.gif . He was sound asleep when I entered his kennel. He so loves to be out of kennels and gently enjoys his walks. He spotted other dogs up ahead of our walk and picked up pac3 to be with them. He is a gentle, unassuming teddy bear that feels your heart. He is never happy to return to his kennel but is so eager to please he does. On walking away from him he cries. It breaks your heart. He so deserves his forever home.

Will was resting in his kennel but soon perked up and was eager to get out when he realised it was his turn for walkies - will seems to meet all dogs in a laid back manner and was totally happy sharing his walk with bernie eddy & luna altho with the amount of sniffing will likes to do keeping up with the "youngsters" wasnt easy but when he wants to he really motors along - will was an absolute pleasure to walk and looking forward to walking him again this sunday altho ide rather see this regal looking bundle of fluff warm in front of a fire in his retirement home he has such a lovely temperament ime sure he wouldnt disappoint

another communal walk for will on sunday going out with eddy stan (with pink teddy) & kayla and as always he seems to like other dogs company - lots of sniffing and mainly dawdling but when he wants to he slips into go faster gear before slowing back into sniffing mode - will really is a delight to walk

I got to meet the gorgeous Will on a walk with volunteer Walker and admin Theresa ,who has been devoted to the dogs here for many years . Will was so friendly and sweet , he needs some tlc and feeding up so in a few weeks am sure he will have put on some weight and be feeling much better .

Surely there has got to be a home out there for this lovely teddy bear !💖💖💖
I loves my walkies , and taking my time savouring them
