So just a bit of an update on Angel's life for the past few years. Well, she has seen a lot of the UK, we've enjoyed holidays to Fife, South Snowdonia (some places near Barnstable), lots of trips to Cornwall and she has been on most of the walks in Derbyshire. Hill-wise she has been to the top of Mam Tor many times as well as Lose Hill Pike and Kinder Scout. She has walked around most local reservoirs and been on many beaches (she loved getting wet in rock pools). She was very much a local celebrity, we often met people through Angel and all would comment that they had often seen her on dog walks and thought she had a sweet smile and just had to say hello.

She was very active until last year when she started getting water infections. The vet did some tests and concluded she had at least one tumour. Being the type of girl who didn't like to let life pass her by, she still expected her daily walk, even in her final days, but sadly we had to say goodbye to her a few weeks ago when it was obvious she was starting to suffer.

James and I both commented that coming to Rescue Remedies to meet Angel and take her home was the best decision we've ever made. Rescue Remedies did an excellent job matching us and their advice when we adopted (she was our first Rescue) was excellent. We changed a few of our habits as dog owners (no more cheap food!) and she became a central part of our lives.

To anyone looking to invite a dog into their lives, I would say 100% adopt don't shop, Angel came ready trained and she was full of love. She rarely misbehaved. Also, listen to the Rescue Remedies team, they know their stuff and they know these dogs well.

We've now invited Marina into our lives and we can't wait to see what the future holds for us. A huge thank you to Rescue Remedies, you guys do such an amazing job and literally change lives.

met with Jo and James yesterday and they were reminiscing about dearest Angel. What a gem. She slowed right down in his last year and they both shaped their lives around her every need. Heartful gratitude
