Anna is doing so well. She now seeks out affection from all family members and greeted a new visitor with great interest. Anna is cautious still but keen to engage. She is settling on walks when rabbits behave as expected but still launches at them if they surprise her. No problems at all around other dogs. Anna is starting to blossom after her early confined existence. She is a fun girl who play bows at you to engage and loves to join you for a walk down the garden. She gains so much confidence from having another dog around but she is people focused - Anna wants to play and be friends with us now she has gained trust. If she is unsure she will still spook and run to safety but with kind words and a welcoming crouch stance she is ready to trust again. Anna is so ready for her new home.

Anna is at heart very sociable - she is just developing the confidence. We live next door to a primary school and the dogs are allowed in the front garden supervised. Anna was out there and instead of being worried about the influx of adults and children she had her nose through the gate watching thumbs.gif

Maisie and Anna often greet each other when reunited after some time apart. Mutual licking after this. Anna would love a friend in her new home.

Anna continues to do well here in foster. While Anna gains confidence from other dogs it is people she loves. She isn't clingy and will often wander off upstairs on her own but if she hears you move she will be there. She so wants to play but her play invitations to us are stopped by the other dogs bouncing in too and disrupting it. She is my shadow at times and just loves attention. When she sees strangers on a walk now she is very interested. Today when the shopping delivery man was leaving and had shut the gate behind him she was allowed in the front garden and ran to greet him. She gained confidence with the gate being between then but she sniffed his hand in greeting so nicely.

Anna has been with us 6 months now and is so ready for a new adventure.

Anna has been great with the fireworks which is always a relief. She was in the front garden at school pickup again today and rushed to meet the passing families. Was friendly and respectful to the little dog on a lead in the playground through the gate. Anna has gained a lot of confidence and is a happy girl generally but will always have a certain caution about her I think. Our girl Maisie is a good model as she was keen to lick any small child who approached. Anna is not that type of girl and would still back away if approached without the gate for safety. They are always fully supervised in the front garden which is fully secure. Anna will require good security not because she particularly tries to escape but because of her nerves she would be difficult to return home if she did get out. While she is small for a greyhound her exuberance in play means she would not do well around small children. At a distance though she is chilled to be around the noise and bustle of primary age children.
