Caesar's Story: Caesar was abandoned due to relationship breakdown from NW council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Caesar is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Caesar was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Caesar's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Caesar is a 3 year old SBT male who is neutered and due his booster vaccination, he is not brilliant with other dogs, and he is not great with men, bikes and prams. He wants to get to the other dog but only pulls...not a raging beast like he was & controllable if you spot oncoming. Same with bikes etc, doesn't like being spooked from behind x Mx

Caesar arrived today. He gained the middle name 'Buster' today as he emerged from his crate early on the second leg of his journey from Lancashire. He was very happy to sit on the passenger seat and keep his transporter / acquired 'bestest friend' company. She had to use a Tupperware box near her gear stick to form a barrier and so avoided him occupying her lap henceforth. He settled and they enjoyed the motorway scenery together and she fell in love, but Missy has her own Staffie shaped person at home, so delivered him into our care with all her love.

Mark and I were lucky enough to meet Caesar today. We were welcomed at his kennel by a very waggy tale. We had a lovely game of fetch in the paddock, Caesar happily dropping the ball for us to through again, he did ware himself out but a good drink of water and he was ready to carry on with his walk. He really is a lovely friendly boy, he sat and gave his paw for a treat and thoroughly enjoyed being out and about taking in all the smells and sights and sounds around him.

What a character! Caesar has all the joyous attributes a Staffie should have. He is friendly and cuddly, happy, full of fun and mischief and ready and waiting for adventure to begin. He thought having a photo shoot was a hoot and showed us all his tricks- sit, lie, roll around, commando crawl. His tail wagged and he showed his big smile all the while.

I had a short walk with Caesar yesterday because I just couldn't resist his grin as I was passing by!! He is short (same size as my Ruby who is quite a dainty Staffie) but definitely not dainty!! A lovely solid laughing little boy. He walked well on the lead, looking up occasionally either for reassurance or to make sure I was still with him, as he didn't pull and we had slack lead walking. Didn't meet another dog so I don't know what his reactions would be but he passed his kennel mates with total aplomb, rather a cutie

(Since returned)
Ann and Paul lost their lovely Tammy last year and have been waiting for the right Staffie to arrive. Well good news for you Caesar you are now their boy! Caesar proved himself to be a brilliant boy who adores ball games, indulgent in human company and such a cheerful soul. Happy days ahead Caesar!

Managed to get a walk with Caesar this morning before he was homed. Found out he loves the water.
He turned on the charm for Ann and Paul this afternoon and showed them his best smile, his amazing commando crawl and was happy to accept all fuss and cuddles offered. He then happily trotted off to the paddock with them and Lynne with the promise of play with tennis balls which sealed the deal. So pleased for him.Re: Caesar Staffie DofB 17.02.16 Gatwick Kenns
Caesar came back today. He was too strong for Ann and he needs to improve his confidence around other dogs. Has great time in the paddock and we will pick up with him tomorrow as he continues to settle in after his little break near the seaside.
