Alfred's Story: Alfred was abandoned in kennels. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Alfred is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Alfred was in boarding kennels near Gatwick and then in Crystal Palace as an only dog whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Alfred's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We were asked to help Alfred who needed a Rescue place.

Alfred came into Rescue on the 16th March 2020

Re: Alfred Boxer x DofB ?2012 Gatwick Kenns

I saw Alfred and just knew I had to go and make friends. He was calling out for attention and was up for cuddles as soon as I entered his kennel. I managed to wriggle him into his harness while he was cuddling up as close as he could to me. We popped over to see the staff and volunteers who were sitting outside having a break and Alfred did the rounds, having cuddles and fuss from each person in turn. We then went off to take his photos and then a little plod down the lane. You could not meet a more friendly, cuddly boy than Alfred. love4.gif

We've had the absolute pleasure of being Alfred's foster family for 2 days now, and it's been amazing! We really couldn't have asked for a happier dog for our first time fostering. We are in a relatively small flat, and Alfred is settling in extremely well.

We are lucky to be close to Crystal Palace park, and Alfred has been treated to some great walks. He is really good on his lead, and seems good with other dogs so far, even when they are off their lead.

Alfred is great company, loves all the cuddles he can get and genuinely has the sweetest demeanour. More to come! thumbs.gif

Alfred had great weather to relax in his new garden. Of course, he first had to explore it and run around in it, but here he is after tiring himself out a bit.

Many thanks for everyone at Rescue Remedies for saving this precious dog, especially Lauren and Sam for fostering him when he needed it.

We look forward to giving him the loving home he deserves.

Paul and Susan keenly awaited their meeting today with King Alfred and they were not disappointed. In fact Alfred was appointed their new family member.

Our thanks to everyone who has helped Alfred along his way especially Sam and Lauren who have loved having him in their lives

Opps Paul has already posted a picture (see above) which really says it all! :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:
