Re: Uncle Albert Staffie DOB 2005 - 2018
Thank you ladies you are all so kind.
Before Albert came into our lives we had another staffy called Winston who lived to the wonderful age of 15. We were obviously devastated when he died but I think that losing Albert hit me much harder, maybe it was because Winston was what I call a "normal" dog who had been loved and looked after for his whole wonderful life with us whereas Albert had had some hard times and was such a needy dog who had separation anxiety and just lived to be with his humans. We cant believe that anybody would have given him away. We are truly grateful and honored to have had him, we just wish it could have been for longer, he really was such a lovely cuddly boy who deserved the very best. We will never forget him, he was the dog of a lifetime. RIP Albie x

Oh he really was the best of boys I remember the day you met him like it was yesterday.
Re: Uncle Albert Staffie DOB 2005 - 2018
Today I have read Uncle Alberts thread from start to finish and oh what an amazing boy he was
It is so very obvious that he finally came home when he found you both, Mandy and Mike
Totally agree when you talk about our normal dogs as opposed to our rescue dogs, I have been privileged to share my life with both. Alfie was my very special rescue staffie boy and he took a little bit of my heart with him when he left, as I'm sure Uncle Albert did with you

MrsP - thank you , we remember the day when we took Albert on one of the sponsored walks and he didnt want to leave you, he was so attached to you. He did eventually come round though!
Jude and Alf - thank you also for your kind words, sorry for your loss too.
