Ozzy's Story: Ozzy was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Surrey council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Ozzy will be neutered around the one year mark by his adoptive owners and will never be used for breeding as part of the adoption agreement. Ozzy is now chipped, and vaccinations are in progress. Ozzy was in boarding kennels near Gatwick then fostered mixed with other rescue pups whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Ozzy's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Ozzy was found in a shopping area as a stray tiney pup unchipped
Ozzy came into our Rescue on the 19th November 2019

Just so cute. How can anyone just leave this little baby to fend for itself. RR to the rescue! xxxx
Re: Ozzy Cavalier x DofB ?14.10.19 Bordon Hants
Little Ozzy tends to take command of every situation he acquaints. Ozzy has been taking Sammy his springer friend and Eddie his Westie mate under his wing and they him. Walking amongst giants he has met Mel and Michael's 6 cats and forms a curiosity feature for them no doubt. So Mel & Michael and their grown up children Miles and Zoe have embraced him into their family with pride. Thank you!

Rufus (Ozzy) Cavalier x pup DofB ?14.10.19 Bordon Hants
Rufus, was Ozzy, has been with us for some months now and has become quite a character. His pal Sammy has a new lease of life and they play together for hours. Our family were not looking for a third dog but Rufus found us and we now can’t imagine life without him. He has enriched our lives and makes us laugh every day. We are unsure of his breed but pretty sure he is a terrier mix, he has quite a wiry coat now and a very cheeky face. His favourite thing to steal and chew is my phone case. Photos to follow shortly.

Rufus is around 10 months now and is roughly the size of a tall patterdale. He is a little monkey and his favourite things to do are pull the stuffing out of his bed, steal the shoes of visitors and chew them, eat the cats food by climbing onto a chair, last night he chewed the plug off the fridge(!) and playing rough with his best friend Hugo who lives next door.
Rufus is an absolute joy and he makes us laugh every day. Here he is helping with the washing and practising his yoga (downward dog)
