Myla's Story: Myla lost her family as the landlord insisted they only had one dog. Myla has grown up alongside a baby, another dog and 2 cats. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Myla is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Myla was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
"Myla has been around another dog, cats and a baby from the moment we got her as a puppy at 10 weeks old. She does not show any signs of human aggression whatsoever, she is also very nervous when it comes to other dogs especially in the park where she has bolted out of before due to another dog barking at her. The only thing is that due to her size i would recommend she go to a home with slightly older children as she could easily bumble a small child over without realising she even done it. She can also be quite boisterous when playing with our other dog and again due to her size this can cause some havoc. She knows sit, down and paw and knows drop it when her ball in is her mouth. She loves to run after a ball more than anything else in this world. She is also a very alert dog due to her breed she does bark at noises and likes to patrol her space making sure everything is in check, which again comes down to her breed and the natural watchdog aspect of her lineage... (A puppy dog)..she has never snapped at me but she nips when she gets excited and she can go for the ball in your hand before you throw it sometimes which can hurt" Quote original owner
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Myla's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Myla is a little bewildered in kennels at the moment and likes to take her time getting to know you. Louise and I spent some time in the paddock with her this morning and slowly she grew in confidence and began to show us her fun, playful nature. She can move very fast when she wants to and was having fun charging around, stretching her legs and playing with a football.

Made friends with Myla yesterday and wow she is a lovely girl. Nervous at first, she soon comes round and once she trusts you her playful puppy side comes out! She is very affectionate and thinks she is a lapdog. She also made friends with Ros and was coming to each one of us for cuddles.
She is very young to be in kennels so I hope she is homed soon as now is the time she needs to learn about the world and build her confidence to set her up for a long and happy life.

Wow what a difference in 2 weeks, Myla welcomed me into the kennel with a big hug and we had a lovely walk. She is a very strong young lady. So pleased to see her confidence growing.

Myla met Lesley and Dave today and swept them off their feet (nearly!)
The Big Murph came out to meet and he really loved her. Myla paid him a lot of attention and only once did he have to draw the line and she said 'that fine I get it'
Lovely home for dear 'little'!!! Myla so pleased for her..

So utterly chuffed for Myla so big but still a very young dog to be in kennels, she changed so much in the short time with us. But now with a big brother to build her confidence she will be taught the skills she missed out on and get to play! This girl loves to play. Thank you all so much.
