Roman's Story: Roman was handed in to a Surrey council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Roman is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Roman was in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Roman's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
Our local dog warden asked us to help Roman by prepping him, assessing him, and finding his special home.

The photos do not do Roman justice. He is simply stunning. He is extremely gentle and calm, friendly to both dogs and humans and has a lovely nature. His coat is soft and silky. He walks like a dream on the lead. Amazing dog!

we took the resplendent roman out with brulee for a v amicable walk today - what a star dog roman is such a great calm temperament loose lead all the way round (he walks like a dream) and he seems v dog friendly - nothing to not like about this sweet doggie - so many positives we hope his kennel time is short and he is snapped up quickly.

Roman is an absolute star. Nothing what so ever fazed this beautiful boy on our walk today. He has a fantastic temperament - letting Brulee (chow chow 7 months), lean on him, put two front paws on him, to try and get a treat. He doesn’t pull, shows no reaction to passing dogs and is a very easy dog to walk. He’s a dream of a boy - a total sweetheart. Xx.

(Since returned)

Julieann, Jon and their 3 boys Chris, Alex, and Ethan bought the everso lovely Dylan to find a new canine partner. The lads hit it off from the outset and were like brothers from then on

Roman travelled well in the car, even having a little snooze on the way back. Once home he investigated every nook and cranny, even managing to find my discarded work lunch box at the bottom of a bag... That dog can sure smell out food! Dylan was initially overwhelmed by it all but soon settled into sharing his beds and toys with Roman.
They walked like a dream together around our local park . Dylan found the fox poo so had a nice shower when He got home. He's drying off in front of the woodburners and Roman is playing with one of his new toys.
Day one had a few hiccups, including Roman jumping up into the kitchen work too... Not just front paws but actually standing on it! And peeing in the front room! But all in all its gone far better than we could if hoped! I think we're all going to rub along just fine x
