Max Labrador x Shepherd DofB 2007 - May 2020
Current Status: Homed
Max's Story: Max came into care when his owner was terminally ill; his former owner has since passed. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Max is elderly and needs a loving retirement home. Max is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Max was in boarding kennels near Gatwick and then in foster in Nutfield whilst he awaits his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays. Max's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.

Re: Max Labrador x Shepherd DofB 2007 Gatwick Kenns
Max is a very friendly, gentle boy. He greeted us with a waggy tail and although keen to get out he was patient while we fitted his harness. Max is a little wobbly on his back legs but loves going for a walk. We took it slowly at Max's pace, Max enjoying Louise's company and Victor walking with me. Max was keen to say hello to Victor who preferred to ignore him so both boys got on with enjoying their walk and taking lots of time to stop and sniff.

Bless his heart .....
Re: Max Labrador x Shepherd DofB 2007 Gatwick Kenns
Max was very happy to get out on his walk today, we took a little wander down the lane and he had plenty of sniffing stops. He’s lovely to walk and easy to harness up. He is completely unfazed by his noisy neighbors and took no notice in going past them. Hes gentle with food and was happy to have some fuss He’s a real happy old gent and I hope he finds a retirement home soon! Love a frosty face!

Max is just beautiful, he has the most amazing face. He is a big boy, but oh so gentle. We had a lovely walk along the lane and he set a really good pace for his age. He let me know when he wanted to go back. It is very easy to love Max xxxx
