Evening walk with Jordon yesterday, almost on our doorstep and I had no idea. He was especially interested in the fish popping out of the water to feed on insects :D

Jordon playing ball in the side garden today, getting far less 'grabby'. He was a bit knackered as we'd been playing for ages.

And he was even more knackered by this time, but still had enough left to play with Jakey :D

Really nice to get an update John so pleased you are all getting on well, hope little Tia is doing well too. The story of fish popping up after insects has my fly fishing arm twitching!

Hi Julie, we're in the south east about an hour from Turkey. The landscape is a bit flat by Bulgarian standards (rolling hills) but the location is perfect as it's about an hour to the coast and half hour to the nearest mountain range. I had looked at buying in the mountains or on the coast but compromised so we could get the best of both worlds within easy reach (plus the winter climate in this area is far milder than the mountain regions).
We went for a 2 hour drive a couple of days ago to feast our eyes on this

Thank you for the beautiful photos. It's such a brave decision i think moving so far, but wow what a wonderful life .you must be so glad you've done it.
I keep trying to convince my husband to do something similar , but he's not convinced........ yet lol.he thinks it's too difficult to find somewhere that you can fit in with accents . Me think we need to learn another language .

Jordon is doing great. Really great. When you tell him to do something, or not to do something :D he actually takes notice 0002.gif] His weekends out when I fostered him were all about letting his hair down and de-stressing, but that stress doesn't exist for him anymore and we're both seeing the benefits of it. If he's up at the gate growling at a visitor or passer-by I only have to tell him once to stop and he does. His ball play has come along brilliantly, my fingers are now safe when I pick up the ball to throw it for him and he's finally got the hang of 'leave'.
He gets loads of exercise in the big garden but I still give him at least one walk per day on his own, around the village and up into the hills then back through the village. He passes cows, donkeys, horses, chickens all with minimal interest, though cats do get his focus just in case there's the chance of a chase :dog_running-186.gif:
He gets on great with Jakey, I'm still amazed at how such a big dog can be so gentle. They play all the time, however first thing in the morning and anytime after 7pm is a no-no and Jordon seems to spend alot of this time growling at Jakey, who completely ignores it and carries on. I have to rescue Jordon several times each night (luckily Jakey is very obedient for a pup). Oddly, Tia only has to tell Jakey off once and he gets the message, but Jordon's deep and what should be scary growls get completely ignored :D So yeah, he's a real grump when he's feeling sleepy 0002.gif]

Been a while since my last update so thought I should just pop in and let you all know that Jordon is doing well. The weather has changed somewhat since I last posted, gone are those lovely warm days, replaced with temperatures dropping to -8 overnight :please.gif: We still get nice days but the temp drops so quickly when the sun disappears - a couple of Sundays ago I was out in the garden at 2pm wearing a T-shirt, 4.30pm I'm walking back from the shop wearing a hoodie, jacket, hat and gloves, wishing I was at home with the fire on.

While Tia and Jakey don't seem to mind at all, Jordon has made it clear that he prefers a nice warm sofa and would happily hibernate if he could. :D We've had to cut our walks back due to having rain recently, shouldn't be a big deal but Jordon's paws seem to attract mud in huge clumps so he ends up wearing mud shoes and he refuses to move on until I've removed it all 0002.gif] Every 5 minutes smiley-sad010.gif The dogs don't mind, they have the big field to let off some steam, always makes me laugh as I'm about to open the gate, look around and all 3 are doing a perfect sit with that look of anticipation in the eyes :dog_running-186.gif: We did have a few days where I couldn't let the dogs in the garden as heavy rain had brought down the rear fence so that had to be fixed, and I've also had to put up fencing along the side of the main garden as there were points in the wall which were a bit low that only became visible when winter set in and the foliage disappeared.

Jordon's over-excitement issues are really becoming less of an issue. Don't get me wrong, I'd never want to change his spirit but importantly he's learning that there's a time and a place ie in the garden and not all over the sofa with muddy paws. 0002.gif] He also now does his zoomies around me, rather than through me. 0002.gif] In short, he's listening and understanding when he's off-lead, something he could never have been accused of in the past :D

He has, however, had some naughtiness, influenced by his partner in crime Jakey which has meant that I'm having to close the bedroom and bathroom doors when I go out, and make sure the bin has been emptied - I forgot the other night and came back to a right old mess. And I know it's Jordon because he's the only one big enough to topple the heavy bin, while Jakey prefers to steal the toilet rolls and shred them all over the house. But Jordon has perfected the art of looking very sorry when I get home 0002.gif]

Jordon has started staying downstairs at night. He gets himself so comfy on the sofa that when I ask him if he's coming to bed, most nights he just looks at me like I'm mad. Even getting him out for a pee is nigh-on impossible when it's cold out at night, but his house training is excellent so it doesn't matter. Some nights he comes up in the middle of the night, gives me a huge facelick to wake me up then settles down for a sleep while I'm now awake 0002.gif]

And that's about it for now, so have some pics :D
