Tia's Story : Found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a North London council pound: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Tia is now neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. Tia was homed for a few weeks in North London but needs less people and quieter walks. Tia was in boarding kennels near Gatwick but was in foster with 3 other dogs
PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).
***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.
Please click for Tia's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

I said hello to Tia this morning in her kennel. She's a sweetie! She was being walked by Leeanne who kindly took these photos of her.

Re: Tia Staffie x DofB ?2013 Gatwick Kenns
I took Tia out for half a day today and what a lovely little girl she is!!
She was great with everyone she met, very keen to be petted and cuddled, she met multiple dogs and was perfectly lovely around them (but did like to tell some of them she was the boss!) and walked happily in company a variety of dogs including a big Labrador and a tiny terrier cross. We popped into the pub after two nice long walks and even when it got quite busy with both people and dogs, Tia was calm, friendly and content. Quite happy to just sit next to me and receive some strokes while I socialised.
She had a great change in personality too - poor Tia is a bit miserable and shy in kennels but is an active, happy girl once she gets back to normality. She even had a few funny mad moments which was lovely to see! It was a pleasure to have her today and she travelled in the car brilliantly :)
Please excuse the poor quality photos - I'll fix up a video of this sweet girl soon! (Watch this space!)
I hope to see her in a happy home soon! <3

Tears of joy for Tia...Rhiannon, Sid and their son Noah have Tia in their loving care.
Very special thank you to Adam in Broxbourne for saving Tia's life and to all our volunteers to enjoyed her company and discovered what a fantastic girl she was and to Julie & Mark for taking her home and fostering her until this special day came. Rejoice.

From Tia's new family:
“Well, it's been a week and so far Tia has settled in to our family like a dream! . She really is a cracking little dog, full of personality, affectionate and good behaviour in the home. We've had some lovely walks with her on the heath. She loves going into the wooded areas looking for squirrels - always on the lead. Sid chats away to her and sings songs about dogs on the banjo! Our son Noah is growing very fond of her too.
Many thanks again for all your help in finding our fabulous girl.”

Little Tia was returning from her walk with Jan this morning and was keen to say hello. Oh how she loves human contact and cuddles.

This little girl is absolutely adorable. I had the privilege of walking her yesterday. She is very timid and shy, and very loving. She crawled into my lap for a fuss to begin with, was an absolute angel to harness up, walked very happily keeping two other little dogs in sight, ignored two very vociferous JRTs, and really didn’t want to go back to her kennel afterwards. She went across to say hello to Louise and Anne ( lovely picture of her giving Louise a cuddle) she obviously loves people and really wants to be with them. So I stayed for another little cuddle when we got back to her kennel, then she happily took her chicken chew to her bed. She visibly gained in confidence over the 50 minute walk. She’s just a poppet and whoever adopts her is going to be very lucky indeed.
