Monty had a lovely walk yesterday with Geoff, joining in with Buster and Anne, and Frankie and me. Monty loved walking with the other dogs. He was very bouncy and excited to start with but settled very quickly. He was very interested in making friends with Buster and Frankie, and Buster was so good at helping Monty, showing him gently how to socialise politely. Geoff reports Monty was an easy walk and a delight, and he definitely enjoyed walking in the company of the other dogs. He was happy to have the mud wiped off his legs afterwards and was very gentle in accepting his treats. A lovely young lad who needs to be in a home learning lots of different skills, he’s enthusiastic and quick to learn xx

Jake and Beth walked Monty today accompanied by Terry walking Troy. Monty was unsettled to begin with but totally understandable. He’d never met Jake, Beth or Troy before and was just a little overwhelmed. After a while, Monty did settle, enjoying his walk and making new friends. He came back a happy boy. Terry walks at 100mph, Jake and Beth walk for miles - i should imagine Monty will be sleeping very well tonight. Xx

I took Monty to the paddock this morning to stretch his legs and boy did he run and run and run. Monty has lots of energy and was delighted at the chance to have his freedom to run, explore and play. He is so connected and responsive but he is a mucky pup and does get himself rather muddy.

Monty was fizzing with excitement and energy as I entered his kennel this morning. However once he saw his best mate, Timmy Tim he relaxed quickly and was very chilled on his walk.

A stroll to the paddock today to stretch those legs. When Monty got too hot to run around he lay under the bench in the shade to cool off. Sensible pup! I sat down beside him and he rolled over for tummy rubs and enjoyed strokes and cuddles.

Monty enjoyed a walk with his pal Timmy Tim this morning, a dip in the stream and a run in the paddock. Happy days!

Monty had a lovely play with Ammie tonight in the paddock with the fence between he really has regained his confidence with dogs again and just needs more work outside seeing dogs but is beginning to lose the intensity of his reactivity

Monty relaxed more on his walk today. He started his walk with Hugo, who is a steady calm boy and had a calming influence on Monty, and Harvey bringing up the rear who was also calm and steady around Monty. This did the trick and Monty passed both Glynis and Keisha and Tilly on his walk with no fuss at all. Brilliant stuff Monty! thumbs.gif We then headed off on our own for a longer walk and Monty was the happy, relaxed boy I have grown to love. woo.gif]
