Rosie's Story: Rosie was taken in and needed a Rescue package as she was being put to sleep. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Rosie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Rosie was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Rosie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: 25.03.19 Dear Lynne
We saved a dog’s life on Friday afternoon and need to ask your help again, I’m so sorry. Our doors are closed but she had no one else. We were contacted by the kennels in Nottingham that we use for EB as they had a dog and were instructed instructed to arrange destruction.
She is 14 months old, she’s chipped her name is Rosie. She’s an average size staffie. Here are some photos. As you can see, she has heterochromia (Blue eye). A S&S
Rosie comes 31st March 2019

Re: Rosie Staffie DofB 01.18 Gatwick Kenns
Rosie is an absolute delight. She is friendly, happy, enthusiastic but not over the top with her energy or enthusiasm. She walked nicely on the lead yesterday when we went for a walk and was happy just walking along at a nice relaxed pace, taking her time to sniff and investigate her surroundings but connected and mindful of me too.
Re: Rosie Staffie DofB 01.18 Gatwick Kenns
Rosie is absolutely glorious. She was so funny when Anne was trying to take photos, all Rosie was really interested in was having a proper good old sniff, she did eventually realise that the sooner the photos were done the sooner she got to have her walk, photos done she headed off for a lovely walk with Anne. Rosie is beautiful and friendly, I was lucky to have a few cuddles and I know that she is going to be very popular with the walkers

Beautiful Rosie was great to walk yesterday. She was super cuddly when I met her and harnessed her up, very very sweet.
She didn't take any notice of another dog we saw whilst we were out. She loved sniffing all the interesting smells all the way round and was no trouble at all, no pulling or anything.
Beautiful girlie inside and out!

Rosie charmed Victor this morning and was a super, friendly walking partner. In the video you can see Victor flirting with Rosie but it was mutual and Rosie was having a polite sniff of Victor's bum too, when she got the chance.
Re: Rosie Staffie DofB 01.18 Oxted spay recovery
Rosie has come to stay for the weekend as she recovers from her spay op. Oh my she’s a beauty- in looks and temperament - an absolute babe
Last night as they often are post op she was sparko for a while... Rosie ate her dinner nicely and was sooooo friendly when I brought her home to meet my mum and dad who are staying. She’s not fussy which one of us she loves at any one time and loves a fuss from all of us xxx
Rosie has proven herself totally housetrained . No accidents and happy to go through the night with no problem at all
Rosie slept on my bed last night - on top of and under the duvet at times !!! Well she wanted to stay warm and snuggly
I’m rather smitten with her wonderfully dotty ears

Rosie is smaller in the flesh than some of her pics suggest - lovely size, fits on your lap (well my mums lap to be precise !!!)...
Here helping put a mirror back up ...
Very sweet and gentle girl - she’s defluffed a cuddly dog toy (already half started by a previous foster !). Rosie has helped me and dad with some diy this morning, a very able assistant Rosie would mostly dispense kisses as I was holding up doors lay on the floor for dad to fit back on their hinges !Here helping put a mirror back up ...
