Laura your picture above which I’ve copied from your earlier post is magnificent - it captures gorgeous Buds to a T - love it and love him too !!! love4.gif

I introduced Buds to SarahS today and he’s made a new friend :D
First port of call at Buds request was the paddock !!!

And then we set off for a walk with the gorgeous Betty walked by Liam, I think Buds recognised what a beauty she is and so he did some rolling to try and impress her !!!

He walked superbly with Betty, Betty wasn’t keen to walk until Buds passed by and then there was no stopping her !!! You’ve got good taste Betty !!!

Sitting for a treat thumbs.gif

The inimitable Buds gave me the runaround today. He wanted to play a few games in his kennel before we left. 1st his harness went missing....neat trick as it was outside his kennel! After I retrieved it from his bedroom, I came back to the run to find his muzzle missing. Dont ask!!

Anyway, 10 minutes later we were ready to go. In the paddock the heavens opened and even the hardy Buds and his ball couldn't put up with it. Usually it's hard to get him out but today he was pawing at the gate. I like Buds. He clever and a bit mischievous with a lot of character.

Buds was already in one of the back paddocks yesterday when I came to take him on his walk and he made it very clear this was where he wanted to stay and play with the squeaky ball he'd discovered. Of course I was very happy to oblige. Despite Betty being in the other paddock and Owen and Wilson being in the courtyard the other side with Di Buds did not bother with any of them and instead happily played with his ball. At one stage he even came over for cuddle right by the fence line and him and boys had a nice little sniff. When off lead in the paddock Buds is always very chilled towards other dogs who approach the fence it is just when he is out and about on lead his nerves come through.

After a good old game of ball I decided it was time to change paddocks to one with a little more shade and a pool as Buds was getting rather hot and bothered so we headed out and round to one of the large paddocks so that Buds could enjoy a nice dip in the paddling pool, for which he was very grateful as he had a nice wallow in the cool water.

All too soon our time together had to come to an end and so much to Buds' dismay it was time to head back to his kennel. Buds did everything he could to avoid the inevitable but eventually we made it back and enjoyed one last cuddle to say goodbye.

I love my time with Buds he is such a happy, affectionate boy but he is really struggling these days in the kennel environment. Buds is super intelligent and keen to learn as he has a few habits he will need help with once in a home. Putting this effort in though will definitely be worth it as the rewards and love you will get in return will be huge as Buds has a huge heart that he is desperate to share love4.gif

His intelligence is clear for all to see. He is so communicative. His body language shows you exactly what he wants. He is such a special boy. We've just committed to adopting the mother of my neice's adopted puppy. The consequence is that my hopes of rehoming Buds is now unlikely. I could cry. Honestly. He's so beautiful.

Me and my fave boy Buds enjoyed a lovely walk yesterday, I think his little break and change of kennel has done him the world of good :D

Buds didn’t totally insist on heading straight to the paddock and with a little encouragement initially we enjoyed a lovely walk over the common thumbs.gif

He walked on a lovely loose lead and ofcourse did some rolling when we got to the grassy bits !

We were so excited to see our beautiful Buds this week, we missed last weekend and two weeks without a Buds cuddle is just too long.

Now his kennel is right next to the paddock, it's hard not to give in to him and give him his paddock time before our walk. We had a good play (and a little photo shoot), we played some tennis ball football and gave him some love while he chewed on his tennis ball, which always gets his tail wagging. He left the paddock really well and took us on a lovely little walk.

Buds is such a beautiful boy, he loves his humans so much. He does have his quirks that will need to be worked out, but I do truly believe they are workable with the right people. The main issue being his reaction to other dogs when you're out on walks, but if he is muzzled, he is very easy to control and calms down as soon as the dog has passed by. However, if you give other dogs a wide enough berth he doesn't always react. Avoiding off lead dogs is probably the most important thing. One on one, in his one space, Buds is so wonderful, so loving and I know with the right family will be the most perfect companion.

:nicethread.gif: Buds is our new friend and we already love him. What an affectionate, fun boy. We have only walked him twice so far but already looking forward to next time - but an amazing home for him would be even better! Hoping the perfect somebody/family is out there for you Buds.
