Maizie's progress through our Rescue below
Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. 22.12.17: Hi Lynne I really need your help. Maisie won't lose her life but if I can't move her another poundie dog will. Maizie is fully vaccd and spayed and I reckon is a staffy cross patterdale. She is around 18 months old,

"Maisie is a dinky, dark Brindle Staffy type girl. We think she's quite young.
Maizie travels extremely well in the car. When she's out and about, she's a curious doggy, especially if she can see or hear other dogs. She wags her tail furiously when other dogs are around and it's difficult to distract her away. We're not sure at the moment if Maizie is dog friendly, but she's certainly very interested.

Maizie is very affectionate and loves kisses and cuddles and she has been known for jumping straight up into your arms, or even shoulder level, just to get a cuddle! Maizie will need a VERY secure garden. Maizie is a clever little thing who will probably be suited to someone with terrier experience. We think she will excel if she was given a job to do...she is a typical 'busy little terrier'. Maizie cannot be rehomed with cats."

I was very lucky that once I'd waves Troy the boy onto his forever home, I got to take this gorgeous little pup with me overnight.
Maizie is very much a puppy! Very very dinky and short in the leg, lots of puppy wrinkles to grow into, very fun and enthusiastic and eager to learn. She is happy to meet people and jolly in her meetings, and although is very affectionate is not a Velcro doggie.
She enjoyed playing with chews and decapitating the fluffier toys! Despite her very short legs she is actually surprisingly strong! Shes eager to learn more about the world but despite herself a bit lost in a busy walk whilst on the extender (Very funny!) took the wonders of Richmond Park in her stride. Started off at a pull but responded well to a few lead corrections. Shes got energy and will need a family with the time to continue her training and match her energy levels.
She slept through the night without accidents and stares at the door to let you know when she wants to go out. Is a sofa surfer and not too interested in the dog basket!
Maizie is full of character and life and will bring a lot of joy to someone special out there. Below are a few photos taken during her stay..

Maizie is a fabulous Staffie who is in her second year. She is inquisitive and wants to put her nose in everything like she is short sighted...meeting dogs the same but she is great and usually ends up licking their muzzles or play bowing. Beautiful soul Her family will need to have faith in her as she warrants that

Maizie another stunning Super happy brindle girl.
I had the pleasure of walking her the other day and what a wonderful sweet nature she has , happy to see you , listens for commands, .She likes to scent and explore she's busy on her walk , inquisitive but yet relaxed,
I think she enjoys taking a moment to take it all in as there's so much to see. She will thrive with continued training as she really enjoys the interactions and being kept busy .
Hope her home comes soon x

Maizie is special, VERY special.

We only met for the first time today and yet she welcomed me like her long lost friend.

Such a happy, smiley girl whose tail didn’t stop wagging throughout the walk.

She is very terrier in watching birds and snuffling through the undergrowth but in a measured way and not at all in an overexcited way.

Someone, somewhere has loved this girl and taught her some manners. She walks nicely on the lead and gives lovely cuddles so lets get her into a new home before kennel life takes it’s toll on this pup.

I took Maizie to the paddock yesterday to see if she would like a runaround. Well, the answer was YES!

She did zoomies, zoomies and then more zoomies. This pup loved the freedom of stretching her legs and it was so lovely to see.

Another dog was having a play in another area and although out of view, Maizie could hear the play and she was so desperate to join in. Bless her little heart, she wagged her tail like mad and whimpered and whimpered so keen was she to have a play.

It was our first time walking Maizie today after a quick zoom around in the paddock we took her out to Painshill Park for the day. Despite not really knowing us she was very relaxed and well behaved in the car.

Once we arrived she was full of energy and very interested in everything. As others have said she still very much behaves like a puppy - she’s extremely enthusiastic and just wants to explore. She needed a bit of guidance passing other dogs/ducks/swans but by the end of the walk she was much improved and able to walk with a slack lead.
After our walk we had a quick stop in at our place where she made herself at home and quickly fell asleep lying next to us. She definitely loves people and is very affectionate - she will make someone very happy when she finds her forever home!
We loved having Maizie for the day and if we didn’t live in a dog free apartment she wouldn’t of made it back to the kennels! Someone needs to adopt this sweet girl! She’s just absolutely gorgeous!
