Flash's Story: Flash came over from Spain as a young puppy family not able to take him with them change of property. Not been socialised and tended to be kept in one room. Flash is small medium. Flash is neutered, chipped, and vaccinations are in progress. Flash is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and sadly due to unprecedented interest, we will only be able to contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

After some persuasion to leave the kennel Flash quickly stood tall and stepped out to have our first walk a round the woods.
He made good use of the time out and did his business then did some sniffing and watching and whilst Flash is still very much settling in, I could see the gentle friendly boy he is.
May take a little while but nothing not to like about Flash from what I’ve seen.

Blimey, what a start to life this little dog has had - thank goodness RR is there to pick up the pieces because that is what the walkers and staff will do - they will pick up the pieces and show him that life can be good and that he can learn to love and trust people. Today I managed to get him to walk around the woodland walk - he looks absolutely terrified - tail right down, worriedly looking around him. That will change - all will be well Flash.

I took Flash around the woodland walk first thing this morning. He wasn't too happy about leaving the security of his pen but he did manage to get a bit of exercise and to sniff a tiny bit once or twice. He also enjoyed some chicken and some cheese - baby steps Flash, you will get there. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

Dear little Flash, with the help of the staff and volunteers, is slowly building his confidence and getting out and about. I took some photos of him this week and he does look so worried, bless him. However I saw him again yesterday heading out with on of his walkers and he looked more confident, his tail was half way up. Upwards and onwards little Flash. thumbs.gif

we took a v nervous flash out yesterday with Spencer and he bravely came out to our car and jumped in the back and then didn't want to move so we tempted him out with chicken/sausages but as per last time we walked him he refused them but one thing he does really like is cheese and seems the only treat he will accept - he speeded up on the woodland walk and seemed to really enjoy it -we look forward to seeing him come out of his shell

Your photos are amazing Jan and Nick. I spent a bit of time with Flash in his pen giving him treats which he took nicely. Slowly does it - he is so shut down and so frightened. Poor lad - we will get there with him I am sure.

progress is slow but he is getting slightly more confident and we had a nice walk yesterday with little eddy joining in- it will take time for him to totally give you his trust but his tail gradually lifted up during the walk - overall hes a sweet dog
