Rosie's Story: Rosie was purchased as a pup father ?Lab x Cocker Spaniel and mother Staffie x Terrier. DNA test states 25% GSD; 25% Staffie 12.5% Foxterrier; 12.5% Parson'sJRT 12.5% Cocker Spaniel 12.5% Springer Spaniel. Rosie has a 'working mind' with abundance of energy. Rosie has employed her gifts well and received trained and been well socialised. A 3 generation household has found her intensity a perceived risk for very small children. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Rosie is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Rosie was in boarding kennels near Gatwick and now in temp foster as an only pet whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

What a delight Rosie is! Friendly, bouncy but so easy to walk. She threw herself into the river with complete abandon - definitely showing her lab x spaniel mix! She’s very beautiful - those ears!

Seems unsure of other dogs but happy to sit and have a stroke whilst they go past.

Rosie has come to keep us on our toes for a bit and she is certainly doing that. She is a busy girl with an interest in everything.

Despite us avoiding tennis balls as she is reluctant to let go, so far she has found at least 5 that were lost presumed long gone at various parts of the garden, her sense of smell is amazing, she can sniff them out miles off.

She walks well on the lead and is happy to go wherever there are new sights and sounds. She pays little interest in other dogs and has been fine with the ones that come over. She does have a tendency so pick up stones in her mouth if she finds an interesting one so important to keep an eye on her when going along.

She can get a bit mouthy when overexcited so as much as possible we keep the energy low, once she is sat down with someone she enjoys a stroke and is calmer but she does like to keep busy.

Rosie is lovely lively girl who is a lot of fun do consider giving her a forever home where she will have the opportunity to demonstrate her personality.

She found a stick she was particularly fond of today and carried it proudly round the park

Rosie continues to keep us company in these continuing strange times. As her intro says she has a ‘working mind’ and needs a lot of stimulation as she is constantly busy looking for things to do to keep her occupied.

She has joined us on some lovely walks over the last week and is a big fan of water, jumping in with wild abandon whenever possible woo.gif]

She walks perfectly on the lead and is not at all bothered by other dogs, occasionally stopping for a sniff but moving on quickly.

She is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out and loves exploring the garden. She is highly intelligent with an acute sense of smell and has done some agility training in the past which would be a good use of her energy and because she is such a quick learner.

We have been giving her two long walks a day and she still has lots of energy so would need an active home, when over excited she can get mouthy so not for little children.

Rosie is a pocket rocket of energy and would make a fab addition to the right household, do consider giving her a place on your sofa.

Heart fill with love.gif]
2nd walk with Rosie today. A lively but not unruly girl with an affectionate disposition.

Loves the woods and following scent trails. Alert and lively but very approachable and playful.
