Jaeger's Story: Jaeger was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Surrey council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Jaeger is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Jaeger was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Jaeger's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Jaeger was found stray and came to us through a council dog warden who asked us to prepare him and find him his new forever family

Jaeger came to us 18th October 19

I haven't walked Jaeger but I have spent some time talking to him and giving him treats in his pen. He is a truly beautiful dog - such a giant with his soft black hair and his adorable face. He is just amazing! :goodluck.gif:

I met Jaeger the other week. He is a super chilled dude. Friendly, and utterly unique. Gorgeous doggo.

Oh, Jaeger! You look like a super-sized, extra-furry Alfredo. Someone's going to have some fun … :dog_running-186.gif:

Jaeger is a fab boy! I'd never met him before but he greeted me bouncily and with a big smile as I entered his kennel. We had a short walk, got some photos and had a little play in the paddock in the heavy rain 0028.gif

Jaeger enjoyed a bit of footy and although he isn't the kind of dog to climb all over you and kiss your face, he certainly was enjoying the cuddles and scratches and stuck by my side for the most part love4.gif He definately enjoys human company!!

Jaeger walked to heel beautifully with me for the most part! He barked at a passing dog but neither Sarah or myself could tell if it was excited, nervous or barking due to being dog reactive. He has a very calm nature so I would assume it was merely kennel stress and nerves. Jaeger is an XL breed and occasionally jumps up which is something to keep in mind for potential adopters! This lovely boy is far better suited to a nice sofa or bed as opposed to a kennel! Hope his home comes soon :goodluck.gif:

I am a new walker to Rescue Remedies and having completed my taster session, I was blessed to walk Jaeger during my induction. What a gent! Having wanted a dog for so long and being a complete novice, Mr J was a dream come true. Taking pictures this time around wasn't easy as I was concentrating on the job in hand. He can stand tall and place both front paws on your shoulders but with no malice and all in love. He walked by me, didn't pull in anyway, and occasionally looked up with those big brown eyes to check I was ok, (well that's what I thought he was thinking). A true gentle giant.
