Mylo's Story: Mylo was found and returned to owner; sadly sometime later his owner was being made homeless and asked the dog warden to help. His owner had rescued him 2 years previous as a 4 year old dog. great with people and children and generally good with most dogs. Heavy on his lead! Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Mylo will be neutered, chipped, and vaccinations are in progress. Mylo is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Mylo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: 22.08.19 Mylo the Dogue De Bordeaux X Mastiff was signed over yesterday afternoon and we collected him. He’s a big chap and I actually picked him up as a stray back in March and he was very friendly then. He has a good temperament with people but the former owner reports that he doesn’t like staffies or Akitas (We shall see) . He is VERY strong on the lead! Milo is 6yrs old, entire and in good condition, though sometimes stiff on his back legs after sitting Dog Warden x

Mylo's dog warden bought him to us today. He is a lovely lovely lump. He has sore ears at the moment which are being treated which he does tolerate but not happy. Very receptive meeting people and he has 2 whippersnapped either side of his kennel run giving him what for and it was water off a big boys back! Mylo is in town!

Lovely to meet Mylo yesterday, easy to manage in the kennel, well mannered on the lead. Had a lovely walk and paddock time with him. A hunk of gorgeousness! Kiss of love.gif

Another comfort zone changer! Fiona and I walked Mylo today....A big, strong, soft boy! Loves sausages. Paddock time first, he did chase a ball, then found a football that he decided to munch on in the shade, well it was hot out today! Once Mylo has burnt off some energy in the paddock, he is a lovely walk, and was quite happy to have a gentle woodland stroll. He makes some funny (quite endearing) noises, he grunts like a 'piggy' and snorts a lot, slobbers a little bit, but he is a great dog! Yes, my eyes have been opened to a larger kind of guy and would definitely take him out again! Marvellous Mylo xxxxx :smiley-bounce016.gi:
