Kazzie's Story: Kazzie is an ex racing Greyhound looking forwards to a glorious retirement. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Kazzie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Kazzie was in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Kazzie's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We have been asked to help 2 greyhounds. Both are black and APPARENTLY very few people want a Black Greyhound.

We are looking forwards with these magnificent beings gracing our Rescue with the regality

I met Kazzie for the first time this afternoon and took her out with her buddy Zarin who was walked by Anne. She is a friendly girl and enjoyed walking side by side with her friend, they both walked at a good pace without pulling. When we got back from our walk both dogs behaved well for their photo shoot. love4.gif

I walked Kazzie for the first time today accompanied by Anne walking Zarin. Kazzie is a very sweet natured girl with a silky soft coat. Zarin is definitely the boss with Kazzie very contented to follow him. Both dogs walked really well and passed other walkers with dogs without any fuss or reaction. Lovely walk/lovely dogs!

Kazzie and Zarin on arrival

They are both doing so well and settling down in their excitement and after neutering. They are housetrained. Zarin is a little mouthy in his excitement...Kazzie is more reserved, gentle and shy.

Kazzie is very calm and chilled on her walks. As she is settling, she seems to be getting more confident and not so reliant on Zarin for reassurance.

Myself and Jo walked Kazzie and Zarin today. Bless them they were so patient in the kennels, quietly waiting as we had to faff around with one of the harnesses. They were a real pleasure to walk, so calm and gentle, no bother and both very easy.

I've decided everyone needs a greyhound in their life they are loving, affectionate, and peaceful you cant help but admire their endearing qualities knowing they could of experienced a tough start to life.
Kazzie and Zarin are the most magnificent, graceful animals you could meet, They walk easily together or independently alone, Kazzie loves a sprint and zoomies around the secure field , whilst Zarin looks on He seems happy just to relax these days and stays by your side for a relaxing back rub almost smiling at the touch.
These two are so deserving of a loving home !
