Zarin's Story: Zarin is an ex racing Greyhound looking forwards to a glorious retirement. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Zarin is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Zarin was in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting his new family.
If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Zarin's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: We have been asked to help 2 greyhounds. Both are black and APPARENTLY very few people want a Black Greyhound.
We are looking forwards with these magnificent beings gracing our Rescue with the regality

Re: Zarin Retired Greyhound DofB TBAss Coming 23rd
Zarin is magnificent. He is a bog boy and I imagine when he runs he is majestic and powerful but meeting people and walking on the lead, he is gentle, friendly and kind natured. Both Judy and I fell for his charms this afternoon.

Loving his ears!
The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too. Samuel Butler

Zarin and Kazzie on arrival
Zarin is an excited intelligent big boy. He has to run and jump as you are trying to attach his lead. Then he is off to explore but not a puller really on his lead. If given free reign to run through the house into the paddock it is like a flolicking lamb with glee.

After the initial excitement of greeting walkers and the prospect of a walk, Zarin calms right down and is very calm and chilled on his walks.

I've decided everyone needs a greyhound in their life, they are glorious peaceful animals I find myself in awe of their gentle, graceful movements and how they seem to enjoy life's relaxed pace now.
Zarin is very affectionate and stays by your side
He loves a good back rub and leans gently against you nudging a little more dont stop yet !
He's very easy to walk, those long graceful legs effortless , As he walks your pace and stride.
A stunning boy who is looking for his forever home.

Zarin is a beautiful greyhound boy. He is far needier than his doggo counterpart, Kazzie. I expected him to race around the paddock, but he stayed next to my left hand side the entire time. He loves as much affection and attention as possible. He and Kazzie have a wonderful relationship and it would be a real shame to have to home them seperately.
During my time at RR (over a year now), I have honestly never met a bad natured greyhound. They are such a gentle breed and seem to just enjoy being in your company.
It would be wonderful to see Zarin and Kazzie going off to their forever home soon.
