Boysie's Story: Boysie was handed to police as 5 month puppy after he 'bit' a child. He was in police kennels for 8 months then moved through a few homes and had a year of stability living with another dog whilst a Rescue place was tried to be found. Boysie went into Rescue but without the facilities to support his skill development. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Boysie is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Boysie is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175 This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

I walked Boysie today. We met yesterday for a quick woodland walk and he seemed to remember me as he jumped up when I entered his kennel and tried to give me a few kisses as I attached the leads. He is new and settling in so I haven't fussed him too much as don't want to overwhelm him but he seems very friendly and just loves being out and about. Seems fine around other dogs that he sees and we went over the common today and then back round the road way. He didn't mind the traffic at all. I suspect that he could do with a little more exercise as he is quite a stout little boy wink.gif
Can't wait to get to know him better.

I got to meet Boysie yesterday. He was a little bit nervous of me when I was outside his kennel but I went in popped the leads on and we were off walking no trouble.

He has the cutest 'wiggle' but maybe being a little bit on the chunky side at the moment adds to that!

When we got back to his kennel he was all kisses and cuddles. I really enjoyed meeting Boysie and hope I get to walk him again. He is a darling little chunky staff! love4.gif

Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?

Rebecca any myself walked Boycie today. I thought he might pull a bit as he’s quite chunky but he walks like a dream. Only reacted to other dogs if they started first - and it was just barking -easily moved on though. I must admit to having a little chuckle at his bark - I was expecting a deep woof but a terrier yap came out, bless him. Xx

Geoff was introduced to Boysie yesterday and was welcomed into his kennel offering a few treats. Boysie relaxed with a low key approach and happily went off for a walk. He was really happy to be out in the fresh air, stopped for lots of sniffs and behaved impeccably around other people and dogs. He was a pleasure to walk. Boysie is a relatively large strong staffie who seems very gentle. Kiss of love.gif

Boysie and Geoff had a lovely relaxed walk today. This boy is so good natured. Not bothered by other dogs, happy to walk as far as you want to (Geoff took him for a longer walk), seems to have a laid back personality positivo1.gif

Boycie had his little wiggle bum going as we walked, he does make me smile !!!
Boycie also enjoyed the natural salad bar on offer, all nice and fresh and juicy after the rain, we took our time and Boycie had a good old munch !
