Rexx has been back with us for just over 3 weeks now.
Last night both him & our dog actually shared the same sofa, that's the 1st time. So be prepared if you have another dog in the house to give them the time & space to get to know each other. (Rexx is the older boy on the right)

Rexx would also be extremely happy to be the only dog.
Well, Rexx & our cat.... he's basically obsessed by the cat. We tried leaving the stair gate open (as that's where our cat is on the other side of when home) however, Rexx chased him out of the house. So we're back to slowly, slowly. So it's still unclear at this stage if he can live with a cat.

It's so lovely to see Rexx laying & enjoying the sunshine without the need to run back inside.
He's come a long way, no longer our shadow, just happy being Rexx.
We're still slowly, slowly with our cat. He's absolutely fascinated by the cat. This may wear off in time????....
He gets along with our dog & they are now occasionally playing chase. They're not best friends, but muddle along together.
If you can offer him an adult household, possibly as only dog, and are willing to introduce him to new people slowly. We do this by letting them in with him behind a pet gate, us saying our Hellos & then letting him come in and say hello calmly. (We're doing this as previously he has tried to 'herd' our friends up) He's then fine and wants cuddles from his new friends 💜 He's also then a bit of a tart and is up on the sofa leaning into them & wanting belly rubs! woo.gif]
We have found that Rexx seems to hop a bit on his back legs after about a 40 minute walk, however, the more he's doing walks the less he's hopping. Not sure if this is just him building up his muscles again. But boy does this chap love his walks!!! xx

We have found that when Rexx overdoes it, he struggles then with his back legs, they must be a bit arthritic. To compensate he licks his front left paw.
So we're trying to work out how much is too much! 0028.gif
To help him with his athritus we're adding drops, homeopathic (Rhus Tox) to his meals & this does appear to help him.
And after a good nights sleep - resting his legs, he's full of energy again the next morning!
But don't let this put you off as he's an older boy and just needs regular gentle excerise, after all time ages us all & we get aches & pains. Well we certainly do! woo.gif]

Rexx has been with us for a wee while now & apart from still obsessing about our cat, is a real joy to have around!
If you ask Rexx for a cuddle, he hops up beside you and leans in. Oh, how he loves a cuddle!!
Really don't know what else to add about this gentle boy, that we haven't said already apart from he loves it when we hoover... he thinks this a great game ... tail goes mad trying to play chase with you & it!
Anyone who offers Rexx a home, will find they have a loving & loyal companion! x love4.gif

If Rexx had made friends with our cat, we wouldn't hesitate but to keep him! But this really doesn't look like it will happen. :doh.gif:
If you love Collies then you will love Rexx!!
He's come such a long way, no longer our shadow, happy to roll around in the garden, play ball, guard the house & of course have cuddles!!
He's happy with a short morning walk around the block (on a short lead), the odd bit of ball play during the day & then a nice walk in the late afternoon/evening, we currently take him to heathland & he's then on an extending lead - but we did start off on a short lead, until we all got to know & trust each other, this then settles him for the night.
When he's out walking if he see somethng that he fancies chasing, a strong 'No' soon stops this & he goes up on his back legs (like a meer cat) to watch whatever it is run off.
And there's so much more to enjoy from this cuddle monster :smiley-ashamed005.gif:
Fill in an application form & let's get this boy his 'Forever Home!!'

Rexx has a new Dad!
Arthur & his family met & spent time with Rexx this afternoon.
They all came to the decision that Rexx was for them!
