Zippy will miss his best mate Cooper now he has been moved to Guildford. Zippy, as we all know, is dog reactive but he loved Cooper - used to run to the back of his kennels to greet him and would follow him anyway. Cooper likes having a small dog in tow and enjoyed his walks with Zippy. crying1.gif]

COOPER!!! OMG, I'm in love.

This boy is stunning. I am a true sucker for a mastiff type having had a Bullmastiff and currently my parents having a Dogue De Bordeaux. Cooper has the squidgiest face and the best wrinkles! ahaha.

I have walked him twice now since he has come to Guildford and as someone at Gatwick expected, this boy LOVES the water. He had a great time paddling in the canal and on the second day I brought a longer lead so he could go further into the water. He can be quite strong on the lead and will definitely need help with socialising with other dogs and people. However, I am sure part of this is him still settling into the new world of Guildford.

He is gorgeous and I can't wait for him to go off with his forever family.

I add my adoration to this thread. Cooper is a lovely dog. Big on cuddles. Someone’s trained him well too - he does a lovely sit, paw, and stay. I’m a big fan of this big lovable lump

I had another wonderful walk with Cooper today. He is such a gorgeous boy and truly deserves a forever home.

He can be strong, particularly to begin with on walks, but he soon settles nicely. He loves to stop for a sniff and a munch on the grass. He also LOVES the water as I have mentioned before. Today we went stick fishing hahaha. We passed a few people which he was fine with, but we did have one barking session at an off lead golden retriever. I had seen the off lead dog in the distance so pulled over into another field to give Cooper and the other dog plenty of room to ensure a safe passing.

I then gave him a huge cuddle in his kennel as, being mastiff type, he loves to lean up into you, sit on your feet and cover you in kisses. I tidied his room up a bit, as he had shredded a bed and I found him a clean one instead. He thought it was great fun to pull the shredded bedding out of the bin bag as I was putting it in!

He has such a lovely character and temperament. I can't wait for him to find a home as I know he has already touched the hearts of many walkers here at Guildford.

I really enjoyed walking Cooper for the first time this weekend. It was a bit warm for an energetic walk and having read about his passion for water we headed to the canal. He spent ages playing in the water chasing the weeds!

I adore this boy and can't believe he is still with us! Any big dog lover will fall head over heals for Cooper...he is amazing.

I walked Cooper yesterday with my boyfriend (Ashley) and he had us in stitches when he started digging in the mud/water. Fortunately, I made him have another dunk later before he got too muddy again...unfortunately, he pulled me in too. And yes...the bf got a photo! Cooper must have spent more time in the water than he did on land!

Cooper was really relaxed around Ashley by the end of the walk and took treats gently from him. Cooper has a really solid sit and I think he would be eager to learn more tricks as he appears keen to please.

Today, I was out walking Genie and I passed Cooper. Cooper was fantastic. The other walker had Cooper sat and close to her and Cooper didn't react to Genie at all. I think Cooper has settled into Guildford nicely and we are always careful when passing dogs who are dog reactive, but Cooper has made some really big improvements already.

So, if you have a big dog shaped hole in your heart and live close to water, then Cooper's the dog for you.

Here's a quick video about Cooper filmed earlier today, a very friendly and loveable lad, with a great wrinkly face.

Here's some new photos showing scrumptious Cooper the Mastiff cross the other day. A super friendly lad, definitely lots of love to give.

Cooper doesn’t like dogs in his face but he doesn’t mind walking with them... Jack and Cooper enjoyed a nice walk together today ☺️
