Lovely Skyla. She was such a pleasure to bring home for a few days. She really perked up once in the car and by the time we were halfway home she was snoring on the back seat! She loved her bed and after a quick look around, settled down to rest. She followed me around for a bit - just checking I wasn't leaving her. She welcomed my husband, son, daughter and partner with happy tail wags and affection. We did a few walks - she sometimes just stops - but with a stroke or a few words she will continue walking. Skyla is not coping well in kennels and really needs to find a safe, quiet loving home. Fingers crossed for her.
I'm so happy Skyla could enjoy home environment for a bit! We took her for a walk last Saturday and she didn't want to walk far. She kept stopping every couple of seconds looking for reassurance and some cuddles. She is such a lovely girl and I really hope she will find a forever home soon!
She did the same when my husband and I walked her here. She stops and looks up at you and needs reassurance. When we walked, I held her and if she stopped, my husband walked ahead and called her so she then wanted to get to him for a fuss. She has walked with me at the kennels before when we walked with Stuart and Marge. Skyla walked a long way that day but wanted to stop along the way to investigate all the good sniffs and have some reassurance. She is such a lovely girl but looks so lost in kennels. Hoping someone will give her a home very soon.
Today was the first time I had met Skyla apart from trying to offer her sausage treats through her pen door which she always refused. She didn't want to walk far at all - even with the encouragement of another walker and dog. She is a lovely, gentle soul who wanted cuddles and, once out of her pen, sausages which she really seemed to enjoy. She looks lost and sad in her kennel and I so wish someone would take it into their hearts to give her a lovely comfy home.
I saw Skyla at the start and at the end of my busy day walking. We went for a gentle ramble round the kennel grounds as Skyla does not like to walk far. She is lovely - just look at that face! She really, really does need a home asap. I hope someone will offer one to her soon.
Had the pleasure of walking/cuddling/stroking Skyla again today. She was very, very excited when I went into her new kennel. She has moved into her own space which may help her as she can see and be seen now. She seemed happy to walk today, so we walked up the lane and back. She wanted to say hello to all the people she met, although did bark at some of the dogs (they barked at her too). We stopped lots of times for some cuddling and some treats. Sadly I had to leave her and she was definitely not happy with that. She barked and jumped up to tell me to stay longer. I stayed with her as long as I could but regrettably had to make my escape. Lovely Skyla so needs a quiet home and people with time to spend loving her. Could that be you?
I walked Skyla today and spent some happy time being cuddled by this lovely girl. She is so gentle and, in her own way, such a character. She came straight out of her pen and rolled around in the undergrowth, enjoying the sunshine. We did not walk far - Skyla is fairly definite about where she wants to go at the moment. She is a truly gorgeous girl and would absolutely thrive in the comfort of her own warm loving home. Come on people, read her thread and get those forms filled in.
Here I am again walking my lovely Skyla. Today Skyla was in a different kennel again but I found her and she was very happy to see me. Skyla was full of energy today so we went into the paddock for a run in the mud! She loved the sun today (me too) and she enjoyed rolling in the grass. We had a longer walk than usual and she was very enthusiastic about sniffing all the smells and exploring the frosty grass! Skyla would be perfect for someone who has time to spend showing her what a special girl she is. Love her to bits! That face and those eyes..
I walked Skyla last Saturday 8 Feb. She was slightly more confident than during previous walks but still preferred to be within the grounds of the kennel. She like to roll on the grass / mud a lot! Very cuddly sweet girl. It's high time she went to her forever home.
