Lovely walk with dear Louie yesterday. He was his usual good self. When walking along the narrow pavement, he insists on being on the outside of you and hugging the kerb but he never steps off and I have come to the conclusion that it’s just easier to let him do this, perhaps he thinks he is guarding his human from the cars love4.gif
We enjoyed a nice sit down at the top of the hill and watched the world go by. Louie enjoyed a nice roll on the grass.

Louie enjoyed some time splashing in the river and a run around the park. He was good passing lots of people and I just got him to sit and look at me and he didn’t react to anyone. He wasn’t sure what to make of the two swans he came across and decided to keep out of their way. :dog_running-186.gif:

Dear darling Louie and I had another trip out to the secure field near Liphook. He knows when it’s Wednesday and bounces into the car, he lounges on the back seat or squeezes his head between the seatbelt and door and leans on my shoulder. Once at the field he doesn’t wander far and his recall is so good, always returning with a huge smile. He doesn’t yet trust the tunnel but makes full use of all the other agility equipment. Louie does love a zoomie and the field gives him the opportunity to really stretch his lurcher legs, and the collie in him means he loves to please and learn new tricks. His “leave” the treat is a sight to behold.
My wish for amazing Louie is that his perfect human comes along and he can spend Christmas in a loving home.

Today Louie enjoyed walking alongside a new friend, Steve. Through his relaxed body language, Louie is showing us how far he’s come when meeting new people, especially men. So proud of Louie’s progress ☺️👏

Today, I brought my husband along to walk with Louie and safe to say, it was love at first sight! Louie leaned right into Steve from the outset, was relaxed and happy walking next to him. And he even kept shoving his head between Steve’s legs for a sneaky head scratch!
We met a couple of RR dogs out on our walk, and Louie was calm and relaxed throughout.

This is Louie on our recent trip to Yogis field in Rake. He is more confident on our trips now and is happy to roam a little further, a friendly call though and he is back by my side with a huge smile on his face. He is good in the car and knows just where he is going on a Wednesday. I love spending time with Louie he is a joy to watch and interact with, and has now learnt to retrieve a tennis ball, add this to his list of skills and you have a talented happy dog who loves to cuddle and to please. I do hope he gets noticed soon and is able to spend this Christmas in a loving home.

From volunteer Mel: "This is lovely Louie meeting my daughter Zoe, he has made quite a few new friends lately and is always happy to say hello"
