Fabulous walk with Jack again today in the sunshine who decided after a lovely amble around the grounds and a check in on the various building equipment piles that we would go through the woods, then across the road and have a lovely roll on the nice grass and then walk back to the rescue via the paths, and lane. Longest walk with Jack yet and we both enjoyed it. :smiley-chores002.gif:

I think Jack had had his weetabix this morning! He came skipping out of his kennel and was keen to go out walking with his kennel mates, Trevor and Tommy. We headed out through the woods and onto the bridle path, where Jack sped up and took the lead. We had a little paddle in the stream along the way, which Jack loves. Jack was a little anxious passing several people but he coped really well and once they passed, he was soon back to enjoying his walk. What a fabulous walk with a very animated Jack today. thumbs.gif

Jack set off at a great pace today, following the greyhounds, Ace, Lady and Baxter. We were all meandering along the bridle path and Jack suddenly veered off on another footpath. Thinking he was heading to the stream again, I let him choose his own path. He stopped on the grass to have a delightful roll. Then he set off again but instead of heading to the stream, he just took a short cut back to the kennels. 0002.gif] Funny little pickle always knows his own mind. thumbs.gif

If you want to see the joy of spring watch Jack out with his kennel buddies. You just need to watch his swagger when he walks or runs, happiness smelling the vegetation and not forgetting those famous belly rubs. He does not mind being leader or follower of the gang. Love seeing this boy enjoying life.

Jack made a new friend today when I introduced him to Helen. We had a stroll around the kennels to start and then all sat down on a huge cushion for tummy tickles and a fuss. After enough of that we headed through the woods and a paddle in the stream. Jack loves to potter around and have a fuss and a roll around. As it was sunny today, Jack was on good form and I think he enjoyed his walk love4.gif

Another sunny day and Jack was certainly on form today. He has a rug at the front of his run so he can sunbathe and watch all the comings and going in comfort. Once he set eyes on little Daizy as his walking companion, there was nothing stopping him. He adored little Daizy, walking with Helen, and was showing off and flirting outrageously.

Later on, after walking Tommy, I saw a very special deliverly had arrived for Jack and was being installed in his kennel run. Needless to say, Jack is one happy (and very comfortable) boy. When I went in his kennel to take a photo, he thought I was going to take him out for another walk and he wasn't getting up for that! Hence the grumpy face. 0002.gif]
