Marshall Mastiff x Staffie DofB 12.12.16 Sidcup Kent
Re: Marshall Mastiff x Staffie DofB 12.12.16 Gatwick Kenns
I went to see Marshall for the first time following his move from Guildford kennels, I’m so happy today that he’s looking great! Seems more relaxed and like he’s put weight on. I got smothered in kisses when I went to see him and we had a lovely long walk around the woods, he walked well with RR Ollie who actually needed some encouragement and seemed to take comfort in how relaxed Marshall was, and was keen to walk behind him. He’s a great boy that has done his fair share in kennels now, just wish I could snatch him up myself!

Went to see this lovely lump again at Gatwick the other day, he seems really happy and is looking good with a few extra pounds we went for our walk as usual, Marshall seems to be pulling a little more then he used too so I think he’s getting a little stronger. but if that is something that you think you’ll be able to handle then I’d definitely recommend you fill out a homing form for Marshall. I also think he could be trained very easily because he LOVES food and is very responsive when you talk to him so I don’t think that pulling on the lead would be an issue you couldn’t correct. he’s been a massive cuddle monster lately too! So if you want a hunky bundle that’s going to follow you everywhere and love you endlessly then Marshall is your guy!

Just wanted to add this video to show how lovely he can be, I hadn’t seen Marshall for a couple of weeks before this and was still happy as ever to see me. People often think that Marshall is ignoring them and not giving much attention when they first meet him but once he learns to trust you and you spend some time together you’ll soon see he’s a soppy little man.
Also I’ll add we were both super dirty because we’d been running round in the mud

Wonderful video Rosie! What a soppy boy he is!
It was great to see Marshall spending time with Rosie in the paddock yesterday, he was so relaxed just sitting there with his dear friend.
I walked Marshall a few weeks back and he is strong but such a sweet boy. Looking back at his thread you can see he is maturing and filling out now he is an adult.

Would you like to walk our lovely dogs too?

That's such a beautiful video of Marshall with his friend Rosie, he just can't get enough kisses!
When I met this lovable hunk on Friday, what a lovely greeting I got in his kennel – he was so excited to meet a new friend, one who had leads in their hand, which meant walkies… he just couldn't help from leaping up to give me a big kiss lol. I'd been warned about Marshall kisses!
Once we were out on the road, he was calm and walked so nicely, strong and a good pace but he listened when I asked him to look at me and slow down. He certainly knows his name, every time I called him he looked round, investigated both of my hands to see if there was a treat lol, and happily accepted there was nothing and went back to walking.
When he did get treats, he took them so nicely, a sit and a big paw for please
He was very busy sniffing all the way, fairly unconcerned when dogs passed and we had a few treats to keep us busy and distracted, even when a terrier from kennels passed close by doing a lot of shouting, then he calmly went back to walking and sniffing. He's very responsive and I think he'd be easy to train.
Marshal is such a sweet boy. I'd read so much about him and could easily see why everyone falls in love with him.

1st walk with marshal today. What a great lad.
We stopped in the yard on the way out so I could have a gas with someone. He waited patiently and and stood close while we rabbited on. What a good boy. Loves a pet and was happy to listen to me talking gibberish Nice company to be out with.

Here's a little update on Marshall. We've had him since Sunday and he's a really super dog. He is a bit of a puppy in a small pony's body so a little boisterous at times but even today only 3 days since we got him this has calmed down a bit.
He was an absolute perfect dog in the car on the way home, we thought we would try him in the boot and no issue he just looked out the window and then fell asleep.
Marshall is very clean in the home. He takes his treats gently and I am starting to give him some food in his kong so he doesn't inhale it so quickly. This is working well and allowing me to get on with my work.
We live in a flat and so we have one bed for him in the hall between our living room and bedroom, a rug for him in the living room and a sofa for him in the bedroom and he happily flits between them all. If we eat in the kitchen he just takes himself off to one of them without being told although is naturally very interested when food is being prepared but once we sit down he's not too bothered or if he thinks it's worth staying close he just lies on the floor by our feet. The same when we go in the bathroom he will just go to his bed. We haven't left him in the house on his own but if my husband goes out if he's on his bed he's not bothered, doesn't get up but when you return you will probably get shoes or slippers as a present. Yesterday when we were waking up Marshall brought Steve his slippers as a pair
He also loves lying in the sun and looking out of the window from his sofa albeit through net curtains!
Our first couple of nights he got me up in the night but last night he stayed on his sofa the whole night. I think at about 3am he stood up and I just said "Lie Down" and he just turned round and went back to sleep until 7am
We've been going for 3 mile walks every day as that's pretty much an hour for "lunch" in my new working from home routine.
Here's a few pics of this beautiful boy
