Baxter and I have been sharing calm, gentle walks around the woods recently. He likes to take his time and have a good old sniff around as we go, making sure he does not miss anything interesting. He is such a gentle boy and he loves human company and a cuddle.

Another Saturday means another walk with the gorgeous Baxter! He always starts with a long cuddle, not sure who likes it more, him or us, haha. And then loves to go for a bit of grass eating, smelling stuff around and more cuddles. He has started playing at times, might get excited and try to bite on the lead, but a simple "Baxter, a-a-a" and diversion to a treat and he knows what to do. Occasional bark at the passing cars, but again so quickly back to his normal slow pace investigating everything around.
Love our walks with Baxter so much, but would love it even more seeing him chilling on his own sofa and next to the lucky hoooman :-).

Baxter decided to play hide and seek today in the paddock! Can you spot him?

And here he is squeezing out of his hiding place…

Amazing! Baxter does make me chuckle - he reminds me of a dog out of a cartoon with his whimsical ears and his lovely dainty gait. I love to look at him and Benny when we are out on walks together. Well done on finding such a good hiding place Baxter!

The gorgeous Baxter has come to stay at my self contained doggy BnB for the night with his most favourite human Rebecca.

He’s such a gentle and friendly soul and so quiet you don’t even know he is next door !

It’s half nine at night and I just heard the gentle jangle/clink of his tag as he walked back from his cooling walk around the field .

Photos and updates to follow from Rebecca . 🤩👍⭐️

Lovely to see Baxter relaxing with Rebecca , having met him a few times recently I can vouch for the fact he’s a really amazing boy.

Baxter is so good in the home, housetrained , sleeps through the night , is placid and friendly with dogs and humans alike , someone is really missing out on a wonderful companion here.

Baxter is waiting to meet you ! 🤩😉💖

Lovely photos of this great dog relaxing with his favourite person - thing is, he needs his own special person to take him home now. Thank you Becca for giving him such lovely breaks from kennels. :smiley-bounce016.gi:

We took Baxter to Lincolnshire for 4 days to stay with my elderly parents and Baxter was his usual easy, gentle and relaxed self inside the house. He found the wooden staircase with open treads terrifying and only made it upstairs once. At the top (where there were railings to the living room below) he whimpered, refused to go into any of the rooms and cautiously went back down never to go up again (though he made it halfway up twice). He's been fine with normal stairs in the past. So he chose to sleep downstairs. He was great with my parents and friends. He is not food focused unless he sees me getting the cheese out of the fridge (he quickly learned to recognise the wrapper) and even tried to gently drag it off the side in the kitchen when he spotted it (unheard of for Baxter who is usually as good as gold around food).
He enjoyed the long walks - we had to hold on to him tightly in a field full of sheep - and he loves lying on the grass in garden. As usual, he never woke us up in the morning - content to let us have a lie in. The three and a half hour drive was a pleasure, as usual, for Baxter.
