Donations from Pets Corner

Post by Nurse Flo » Sun Nov 04, 2018 6:23 pm

As part of our urgent appeal for funds, the very lovely owners of Ronnie the Patterdale (was Magic) who was adopted by them in January 2018, have reached out to the CEO of Pets Corner and sourced Rescue Remedies some food supplies from them.

The CEO of Pets Corner has authorised that food that is near or past it’s use by date, has damaged packing or is returned food from customers can be donated to Rescue Remedies.

To take up this generous offer, if you are willing to collect from your local store and deliver to our kennels please e mail enquiries@rescueremedies.co.uk for further details.

They have also pledged £1000 which is wonderful.

Pets Corner have 60 stores nationwide so let’s hope that between us we can contribute to the feeding of our dogs thanks to their CEO’s generosity. Thank you Dean.

A MASSIVE thank you to Ronnie’s owners for sorting this for our dogs.

I went to my local pets corner and met the area manager by pure accident on Tuesday 13/11/18 . I was explaining to the staff why I was there and he started talking to me . He asked me to get Lynne to email him (I have passed his personal email to Lynne) and asked how we are funded . He was very keen to help and asked the staff to take my number so they can contact me when food is available .

This is a very short version of our conversation that took place.
I must admit I left the store with a spring in my step.

That's excellent- :goodjob.gif:
Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them and filling an emptiness we didn't even know we had! :icon_barking_dog-116.gif:

I picked up a car full of surplus dog food from the Alton Pets Corner store to take to the Guildford kennels today. The staff there were so happy to help and I've sent them a thank you card from RR and posted on their Facebook page.

Hi,

I contacted the Keston store next to where I work and they have loads of dog food to give away, so I will be collecting after work on Friday and will take it all to Gatwick on Sunday when I am walking. I will try and arrange a regular pick up with them if I can.
