Sykes 1st April 2006 - 26th June 2020

Post by markturner »

Tomorrow is a year to the day since we lost our beloved boy Sykes. He was not one the rescue family here, but I wanted to memorialize him here among the rest of the crew.

We got him as a puppy at age 6 weeks, young, but his mother was rejecting him, so we have really been all the family he ever knew. So gorgeous as puppy, with intense blue eyes and a little white blaze on his head that faded as he grew old. He drew crowds and comments wherever you took him and very quickly was a huge part of our lives - we had had a break from ownership after losing our last dog, Winnie a few years before but when we got him were ready to fill that gap again. I thought we had left it too long but we started a family in the meantime and life was hectic....

New arrival - How cute was he!!!:

He was such a lovely soul, never left your side, always happy, so full of love and life, gentle, affectionate, stupid, smelly, god how we loved him.......

Sykes had the life so many staffies miss. He was wonderful in character and looks and he so deserves to join our family as a celebration of love, devotion, fun and harmony.

It was a tough year for your family Mark but Dodger came to you to bless you and keep you moving forwards in offering so much and receiving so much in return.

Bless you Sykes and Hattie. Rest in Peace

What a lovely tribute to Sykes and how sad it must have been to lose him. He was obviously a wonderful dog, who knew so much love. Thank you for sharing xxx
