Dear Daisy taken from this world in such a sudden and dramatic illness and left us all in grief and shock
Daisy.jpg
Daisy's Story: Daisy grew up with her family alongside an older large Burmese dog in her first few years and young children. Daisy is quite terrier in character and reactive to dogs when out walking with her children. She wears a muzzle and is more settled when just walking with her adults. Daisy has had a very supportive caring family. Daisy needs to be an only dog in with experienced owners, committed to on muzzle when leaving her house and avoidance of any risk of her escaping from doors, gates and windows. Daisy needs supported encounters with other dogs only being kept moving to avoid her becoming defensive. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Daisy is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated and passported. Daisy was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Daisy's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Daisy's family sort a responsible Rescue who could home Daisy in with a solid family who will protect Daisy from 'events' with other dogs.

Daisy came into our Rescue on the 9th July 20

I met Daisy yesterday and with Anna's help, took her photos. She is a happy, people friendly little girl who was delighted with the attention and cuddles that were on offer.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Daisy suffered a sudden and violent collapse in health. She had bloody diarrhoea and could not stand up. She was taken to our vets and then after exploration she was admitted to a vet hospital 7pm. An hour later her heart stopped. The vets managed to get it to go again for it to stop again. They worked on her for 20 mins and got her heart beating again for it to stop ...she had left.

Daisy was only with us 24 hour hours her sudden illness is a mystery to all the vets who treated her. She is at Peace and it was treasure to have met her and to love her.
