Jess lived to 15 years old and had a wonderful life

Jess's Thread Below:
Her Story: Found Stray Nov. 07 Yorkshire

Salient points: Was kennelled for 15 months bless now in foster and has proved herself to be an absolute star. Good natured with people and dogs. Requires dog experience. Only pet or placid older dog.

Advert:Jess is a 5 yr old Labx Staffie. She is solid; dependable; friendly and a truly loyal companion. She loves people and children. She appeals through her eyes to seek ways of pleasing you. She was found stray and has sat in kennels for over 15 months as she isn't the prettiest of dogs but hey she knocks the spots off of so many in her sweet personality! A medium sized dog, trim and glowing coat. She is housetrained, great in the car, easy on the lead. She is spayed, vax'd and chipped. Jess is waiting for her family but in the meantime having a loveltime with her fosters in Basingstoke.

Jess will make a lovely family dog. She can be left without destruction, sheisn't a noisy dog and rubs along well with most other dogs but perhaps would prefer to have her family all to herself. Jess is a no for cats and small furries. Jess is so up for affection. Because of her past we ideally are looking for a family that don't place their dogs in kennels when they go away but she would cope if must. Jess has so much love to give she is a truly wonderful dog.

Jess's thread below:
We are taking JESS on from another rescue who bought her out of emergency kennelling to try and get a rescue to take on. We will get her spayed; vax'd and chipped early next week She has been in kennels for Over a year :(
Extremely affectionate and lovable girl. Is desperate to be hugged! We think she has been spayed as she has been in rescue for a good 8 months with no season although that is no guarantee. Approx 5 years old and good with larger dogs. Very playful. Not a noisy dog at all and is happy to potter about and amuse herself. No cats!

Has been wormed and defleaed. She was picked up as stray and never claimed.

Jess went to the vet today to be spayed...but as we suspected she already has been done. Enjoyed her company both ways to the vet and then kennels.

She actually is a lovely chocolate brown. She is a bigger Staffie with a Labrador feel and length of body. She is calm and friendly knows all about paw and in fact offers 2 paws if one doesn't seem to bring desired effect...or she puts both arms around your neck and gets up close and comfortable. She is about 5-6 year old, nicely matured..a much easier dog than many. Deserves the best!

Jess's advert

Jess is a ?5 year old Labx ?Staffie. A wonderful mix which makes her a solid; dependable; friendly and a loyal companion. She engages with people very quickly and appeals through her eyes to seek ways of pleasing you. She was found stray and has sat in kennels for over a year..just because of her breed mix. Once you take the time to meet her oh does she win you over. A medium sized dog, smaller than a Labrador and relatively more easy to manage.

Jess has been cared for in her past as she has come in spayed which is rare. She also came in relatively good condition. She loves her food..and travels well in the car. She isn't a noisy dog and rubs along well with other dogs. Jess is a no for cats. She has been chipped and 1st vax'd. Jess is so up for cuddles and at one point wrapped both her paws around my neck to snuggle up. So much love to give...

Jess will need to go to a home as an only pet. She much prefers the company of people and is a loyal and loving companion.

She will need to stay onlead with her new owner which she is quite happy with as she does take a dislike to some dogs.

Jess really needs her forever home. We had some time together in the yard. She loves her treats and squeaky toys (although don't expect to get them back!!). She loves strokes, especially her back. You can really tell that she has been in kennels for such a long time, as her concentration is very limited. Very labby body, but Staffie face.

Can't believe she is still in kennels after over a year! Hope someone considers giving her a forever home soon, poor girl.

Jess was called Jet, but she wasn't black and it was felt too masculine a name for her (have known 3 male Jet Patterdales!), so when we took her on we changed it to Jess. However the kennels continue to call her Jet. Her owners when they come forward can choose ... not a lot of difference, but a softer, feminine name to advertise her under.
