Saana and Peter came to meet Budds today. After spending some time getting to know him and going for a walk they have fallen in love with him, he was pretty keen on them too and very happy to get in the car to go to his new home!
It has been a pleasure to have him as our foster boy and we will really miss him, but very pleased he has found his forever home as he so deserved it

Little update on Budds today from Saana
We absolutely adore him and he seems to enjoy our company, his spot in the sun and walks by the seaside and he's settling in wonderfully. Thank you so much for looking after him for these past few months and for letting us bring him home, he'll be very loved and we'll keep you updated on how he's getting on.

Hi all! Finally, an update on Buddy - it's been a long time coming but here it is :
Basically, he's settled in extremely well and he's turned out to be the complete package and the perfect match for us! He has already brought so much joy into our everyday life and the feeling seems to be mutual as he seems delighted with his new life.
I had a little one-month adoptaversary photoshoot with Buddy
His favourite things in the world are food, sleep and destroying toys. He definitely much prefers sleeping on/in our bed than in the one we got him and he would usually rather stay in bed than go for his early morning walk. He loves chasing squirrels in the nearby park which we don't find quite as amusing but he's leaning to accept the fact that he's not going to be able to catch them, at least as long as he's on the leash. He's already gone through so many pulling toys that we have stopped buying them and started making our own out of old t-shirts. He is very easily motivated with treats and we have been doing little trick training sessions nearly every day to keep him busy. He absolutely despises the rain but we've now got him a little yellow raincoat to make the upcoming season a bit easier.
Living in a city with a high dog density, we see and meet a lot of dogs on all of our five daily walks and we're still working on how to do that in a calm manner. He will happily ignore most of them as long as they don't get into his space but every now and then, there's the odd one he just takes an instant dislike to and then proceeds to have a good bark at them. But we have definitely seen a lot of progress during these two months he's been with us. For instance, we have met up with my aunt and her dog Zebedee (a nine-year old male) a few times for walks and pub lunches and Buddy has really started to get along with Zeb, being able to walk on a long lead alongside him without any incidents.
Buddy seems to charm everyone who meets him and he truly enjoys all the attention he gets. He is quite happy to stay home alone for a few hours but Peter usually takes him into the office with him a couple of times a week where he's been on his best behaviour (except for one time when he destroyed a rubber door stop ). We have also been on the train, bus and in a taxi with him as we sometimes take him on longer walks outside the city and to Peter's family's place in Surrey and he absolutely loves travelling! We have tried taking him basically everywhere with us to give him a lot of new experiences and he really is so adaptable. Perfect little doggy with so much personality.
