I almost don't recognise the dog I met on his first day with us on Christmas Eve, Hux looks amaaaaaaazing! Thank you so much for your updates, I was totally smitten by him since we met and love hearing how well he's settled and is blooming in your care.

Love seeing a Huxley update, great to see he and your gorgeous cat in the same pic! It's been nearly 2 months since you took him in, time flies doesn't it!? :D

It's been a while since my last update so I thought I'd post something for you lot. Things are going along swimmingly. Hux has continued to fill out in body and spirit. He is getting more confident on his walks. Nowadays we clip him to Kane and allow them to trot about 'off lead' together. They get on fine, Hux get's more exercise and it's easier on our wrists! Hux's bad habits are getting better, his sofa territoriality hasn't flared up in a while, (although that's been a lesson for Hux and us as we have also learned how to get him off the sofa without making him feel anxious or defensive.) Recently I've discovered that Hux has been letting himself into the spare room at night and enjoying a large double bed with (what was) clean bedding, so we've shut off that room!

We still have some lessons to learn around house training as we seem to be having overnight accidents more often than not at the moment, but I think that's on us to make sure we let them out more in the evenings. He remains as farty as ever so we are going to be looking into a specialist diet, we've been getting some advice on that front! His truce with the cat has been respected. In fact they don't seem phased by eachother. Admittedly Hux is always 'interested' in the cat but other than going to investigate when the cat comes in the window, he just stands there and watches as the cat jumps down and strolls straight past him.

We see more and more of Huxley's staffy madness moments when he spins round and round, throws his kong about and generally looks happy, excited and adorable. As the summer kicks in better I will try and get him on agility training locally (anyone got recommendations?) to burn off more energy and give him a little direction.
