Archie was my second walk for today (3rd July). The moment I stood outside his kennel he was just so excited as he knew it was his turn for walking. He showed his pleasure at knowing I was taking him for a walk by giving me a thorough wash :biggrin.gif: I got the harness on better than when I last walked him on 20th June and then we were off out of the kennels to wait for the other walkers to get their dogs harnessed up. At the start of the walk Archie made it known in no uncertain terms that he wanted to be the leader of the pack. Until he was at the front of all the walkers he continually barked but the moment he was in the lead he went completely silent as if to say "finally I am being listened to...I feel good when I am in front" :biggrin.gif: . When we got to the stream Archie had a few dips in the water and at one time he almost copied Tootsie's belly flop into the water. Mind you I can't blame him, it was very hot today, although not as hot as it was last Wednesday. For most of the walk Sooty was walking behind us with Stuart and they both behaved well. I think that Sooty had an ulterior motive when she continually scented in the exact same spot that Archie did....what a flirt, but so sweet :biggrin.gif: . Not sure if Archie noticed her advances. All in all a good walk with another of my favourites. Plenty of cuddles and licks when I got him back to the kennel followed by a treat from me to him for being such a good boy.

Oh Archie, such a little character :biggrin.gif:

Archie was excited at the prospect of going out for a walk, he's a little bundle of energy for a while before he settles down outside. He enjoyed some belly rubs and chin scratches before we set off and then there was no looking back :smiley-chores002.gif: He was accompanied by Sooty again today and was on his very best behaviour. He rarely whined or barked, though he was of course up front as he so likes to be. Leading from the front he's a very confident and gentle walker, occasionally jumping and sniffing my pocket where he knew the treats were :D

Archie was even patient enough to pose for a few pictures though I think he figured out what I was doing:
"Are you taking pictures of me? I'm watching you"

Archie walked well again today after his usual energetic start and belly rubs. I don't think he's ever pulled since I've walked him making it easy to keep a nice loose grip on the lead and let him go at his pace. We were passed by three horses on the path and Archie behaved himself with just a little bark after they'd passed by.

Little Archie seemed pretty bemused watching Sooty splash about in the stream making a fuss while Archie himself lapped up water calmly, though they did have a little play together in the water. He actually seems to get along very well with Sooty and walks very nicely next to her and they enjoy a polite little sniff of each other without any fuss. They do seem to have a little thing for each other :smiley-gen132.gif:

Initially I didn't know which of the dogs I was going to take out second until after I took Kiki safely back to the kennels. Archie was in the next kennel, giving me the look....."Please please please take me!!!!!!" and I just couldn't resist those lovely brown eyes of his. I got him ready for his walk, while my son was getting Baloo ready for us to walk round together. As usual Archie wanted to lead...the moment there was a hint of Baloo taking that spot he would make it known that this just wasn't on. Both Archie and Baloo seemed happy with each other's company. It was quite funny that the moment either of them couldn't see the other they would be eagerly looking for each other in the long grass. There was one time Chris deviated with Baloo and was walking adjacent to us in the long grass a few feet or so away. I could see Chris and Baloo easily but Archie couldn't and he kept lifting his head as if to say "where have you gone Baloo" :smiley-signs002.gif: :smiley-signs002.gif: :smiley-signs002.gif: When Archie finally caught sight of Baloo he was almost jumping with glee and excitement, like meeting up with an old friend after a long time, which I thought was so sweet.

Archie was such a good boy and walked beautifully with no pulling. He is a delight to take out for a walk and he so loves his belly rubs. :biggrin.gif: I have attached a video of Archie and Baloo down by the stream. At the end of the video Chris is giving Baloo a treat and then Archie suddenly barks as well, which meant only one thing....."Where's my treat :smiley-signs002.gif: :biggrin.gif: . Of course I obliged as we couldn't leave Archie out could we :smiley-signs002.gif:

I walked Archie today. Oh how excited he was when he realised I was actually going to take him out. He always gives cuddles and kisses the moment you enter his kennel and is such a darling :smiley-gen132.gif: Today was no exception. I harnessed him ready, attached his leads and took him outside of the kennels ready to go for a walk with my son Chris who was taking out Baloo and Val who had sooty. It's not a secret that Sooty and Archie are the best of friends and the way they walked together today certainly cemented this friendship in stone. Archie normally likes to lead but when Sooty was walking alongside him he was more than happy to have her beside him and leading was no longer important....so so sweet.

When we got to the stream I had to laugh when Archie went into the water and began doing a crawl on his belly...it was so funny to watch. I would have loved to capture this on camera but had to concentrate more on ensuring I didn't land up in the water as well. By the time my son had got out his phone Archie was no longer doing his crawling act....perhaps we will catch him next time. We do have a video of how good Archie and Sooty were walking together today as well as having fun in the stream.

Took Archie for a walk today accompanied by Val who was walking Sooty. These two are beginning to get quite an item these days and more than happy to walk along side by side. Sometimes Archie gets very impatient.....it's almost as if he is saying to Sooty "What's keeping you...come on keep up with me."

I agree Linda, wouldn't it be lovely if both Sooty and Archie were homed together, especially as they are becoming quite the soul mates now.

Here is a video of both Sooty and Archie walking along so nicely today (31st July).

Love the video of Archie and Sooty walking together side by side, they look so good in each other's company......like twins. Oh I do hope someone thinks how lovely it would be to adopt these two Patties and their friendship can blossom.

Archie went to Potters Bar today. He was greeting by Rupert the chihuahua & Trots the miniature Dachshund and was wonderful. He was interested in the cats but not overly so. We then met LuckyLoo the lurcher & Toby the King Charles Spaniel in the paddock and was very happy in their company..this is the meeting
