Ahh-chie continues to bring joy to his fosterer. He enjoyed a nice walk in the sunshine on Sunday. Pictures to come! Everyone loves him. So calm, cool & charismatic! Might be worth considering door knobs rather than handles unless you don't mind him having free reign of the house!
Would suit an older handler as he's so gentle & easy to walk. He'd love a game of footy with visiting kids too. Always ready to leap into action if there's a squirrel or cat that needs seeing off. Such a charming lad.

Ahh-chie has been blessed with the opportunity to stay in foster with Rita for another few weeks. Lucky boy will continue to have full access to cuddles, walks, company and home-cooked food. Yes, she cooks rice & chicken for him every night! He is experiencing the 'Good Life' in Surrey, so he is fully prepped for his forever home whenever it pops up. Notices are being placed all round Wimbledon to find his new family and Archie leaves a good impression with everyone on Wimbledon Common.
Here he is searching for Wombles.... (or was it squirrels?)

We had a VIP (very important pooch) visit today. Archie graced us with his presence. He is such a treasure, so attached to people and keen to show off his tricks. He knows paw, other paw, beg, lie down. Rita is determined to teach him some more bits before he leaves her in a few weeks so I lent her a training book. She's going to buy a whistle and train him to come to the whistle rather than voice as he's getting a bit lapse with his recall. Also going to buy him a Kong so that he learns to occupy himself when she has visitors. She's also determined to get him walking to heel. She has set herself quite a task with all that lot, but Archie showed his intelligence when he picked up that whistle = treat within just a few minutes.
So whoever is lucky enough to home this chap will be receiving a trained performer (well almost!).
He is looking very fit and healthy, with golden streaks shining through his dark coat. He made fast work of demolishing a log in the garden into two bits and lots of woodchip. Good for the plants and must've felt great in his teeth! He just loves balls and sticks. I bet if you took him to the park with tennis balls & a chucker, you'd make him a very happy man, oblivious of everything else but you and the ball!

Some more photos of Archie enjoying his visit to us last week. He loved the large 'stick' in the garden.

A few more photos of Archie when he visited last week. Lovely gentle soul who is waiting patiently for a home of his own.

I met up with Archie yesterday and took him to the vet for his booster. He was so good and his tail remained confident and wagging. However, he has to lose a couple of kgs! (Currently 23kg) Rita's idea of feeding guidelines is..."Archie does that look enough?" and then adding fresh chicken and treats as well! He is loved, that's for sure!
He has proved he is still a spritely young man, by managing to climb onto her dustbin and leap the 6' garden fence to chase a cat! Rita couldn't believe her eyes! Needless to say, the dustbin is no longer next to the fence! (And the cat won't be visiting her garden again!)
Archie is normally walked with a chain lead as he has been known to chew his lead, especially if the lead's left on him in the car. If Rita wants to give him a leg stretch, he can be trusted on an extender if you keep moving.
Lynne joined us and took a few photos. Archie doesn't like to pose for photos, but as soon as the camera's away, he will happily do as you ask!! Cheeky!
Archie may be joining us at the Sutton Dog Show on Saturday. All depends on a certain visitor tomorrow....

We've kept an eye on Archie for a while and love all of the pictures of him. Having had a long chat with each other we've submitted the re-housing application this evening. Hopefully we will be selected to give Archie the forever home he desperately needs and deserves.

Archie is homed! He found a super duper Staffie loving family who all delighted in meeting him today. Rita is in tears, we're no better, having waved off Ginge. Cor, what a day!
Jenn & Ian are now the proud owners of a proper Staffie boy! He didn't even look back to give Rita a wave!
