Tilly JRT DOB 09 - 2019

A Rescue Remedies Jack Russell who came to me six years ago. The maddest, most mischievous dog ever. The dog that managed to get behind the dishwasher when I was trying to sell the house, so that the estate agent had to unplumb it because we thought she was in the wall. I have just lost her and I can't tell you the emptiness.

Just a quick and typical Tilly story:
My cousin brought me a ten litre box of wine from France, which I stored in the back bedroom. Some time later, I mused that Tilly was in the habit of leaving her place in front of the fire, toddling upstairs and coming down again for another hearth rug snooze. After a few days, I happened to go into the back bedroom. She had chewed right through the cardboard box and the thick plastic skin, and had been tippling red wine every night. Several glasses gone.

This was her last week on earth, as she was diagnosed just yesterday, with a fast moving degenerative disease. During this week, she despatched a seagull, chewed through a neighbour's Lifeline cord, purposely upset a pail of water all over a guest in the garden and ate several bumble bees. I never knew what was going to happen next. So intelligent and loving, can't believe she's gone. Brain tumour - only about ten years old. Just lucky to have had her. Typing this has helped.

You all know the pain.

Love, Helen

Homing Requirements: Tilly needs a family geared to the antics of a determined little Terrier. She can settle in with other dogs but will try to control things and maybe better as an only dog and a strong-minded kind pack leader. Secure garden and exit management including windows required! Retention on a long line or extender lead as recall non-existent. Could possibly live with dog savvy cats.

Her Story: Tilly formerly known as Jazz has been with me for around 18 months and I am her third home. Tilly lives in a big pack and had a fabulous start to her life. However, she lives in a full house without garden and now tends to define her space, can snap and put the other dogs in their place. A baby on the way has prompted the family to conclude Tilly needs more space and a terrier home to appreciate her gifts, with terrier savvy children live-in or visiting and other dogs. Tilly is neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Advert: Tilly has a busy home and a very full agenda. Her pack is a disciplined pack which currently consists of her owners and their 9 year old; 3 Staffies of various ages, cats, and other small furries. Tilly however finds life sometimes too full, stakes her territory and is too often setting the agenda for everyone else! Well she would, wouldn't she, being the Terrier that she is! When she isn't coping she can snap e.g. when told to get off the sofa. A little madam she is, but you have to love her … as her family dearly do.

Tilly is a 3 year old Parson's Jack Russell Terrier who has been well socialised and had the best of care, a full life and best quality food. We are looking for a family for her who smile when they read about her antics and understand why the family living in an upper flat have to keep the windows closed. She is a gem of a dog within a loving family who sadly are passing her on but only to a better scene for her.
