So Deborah, Simon and Betty travelled down today to meet Drakey poo and what a good boy he was.. Lovely Family who really get and understand Drake and where he has come from, having experience with big bull breeds and also managed rescue dogs whom have been starved so are very food orientated. I have no doubt that Drake will flourish in the care. My phone has been playing up so unfortunatley did not get any photo's although I have been promised they will join the forum and post some

Hi Hayley
a few more photos of Drake!
(Not taken many on walks this week as its never stopped raining!)
He has completely settled in -been out in the car a couple of times and done walk and then home again -car hasnt been an issue for him which is really good news
He feels like hes been with us forever -no problems really which is just great!
Betty is mothering him -licking him a lot and they now like sleeping next to each other! She runs down the garden and Drake follows her wherever she goes. He is definitely a dog that is best placed with another dog as he is learning a lot from her and shes proving to be quite a good teacher!
Feeding time also hasnt been an issue as we will always separate them and he is now happy to wait with betty whilst i get the food ready and then he sits and waits in the kitchen whilst i feed Betty in the utility and then he gets his bowl -I have never met a dog that eats so quickly!!
They eat biscuits together and on walks we always give Betty her biscuit first and then Drake gets his which he just accepts without any probs
We've now left him once for a longer space of time and all was well when we got in -we left them separated and will continue to do so if we're out for more than a couple of hours
He discovered that he doesnt like water when he slipped into the canal -he just jumped straight out again but was not very impressed at all and now doesnt walk quite so close to the edge of the path and has lost his interest in trying to sniff ducks!
So all in all he has become one of the family -probably much quicker than we thought to be honest - and everyone who has met him so far just loves him!
WE couldnt imagine life without Drake now!
Best wishes
