It was just over 11 years ago that we collected our darling boy ‘Mac’ from your centre. Unfortunately we now have to report our beautiful boy is no longer with us.

He was an active boy who kept us on our toes but towards the end his arthritis, heart defect and dementia all caused us great distress seeing him suffer.

We are devastated by his loss but feel comfort knowing he is no longer in any pain or suffering. Mac has left a massive hole in our hearts but we are grateful for having had him in our lives.

The whole family loves and misses you Mac (R.I.P 29-12-2020)

Hi again, I know it’s been a long time but if anyone remembers Mac or has any paperwork we would like to know his birthdate if it is known. The title of the thread has dob 11.04 but not sure what this means. Either birthday is 11 April or maybe born sometime in November 2004.

Just thought I’d ask. It never seemed that important to me at the time as just having Mac meant everything. But on his passing it distresses me that I didn’t truly know how old he was? Time is a healer I know and it’s only been a few days but it’s been so hard to come to terms with.

Thanks in advance, Wayne

Dear Wayne, Kate, Marilyn, Rhys and Bethany... I remember little Mac so well. He was with us a long time and then suddenly you were standing there with him as part of your family. I remember Marilyn's determination and enthusiasm to share his care. Thank you for giving him such a wonderful Journey as your family emerged around him and he was rooted into your waking memories and alas now your cherished dreams.

He looks wonderful as an old boy in the arms of your loving care.

NB 11.04 would stand for November 2004 making him 16 years old which is a monumental age for him to reach considering the period of kennelling he endured. Forever grateful to you all and thinking of you in heart felt appreciation.

Thank you so much for the kind words, wow I didn’t realise how old he was. We feel very empty at the moment. We will miss him forever.

Thank you! Your right it doesn’t seem long enough. I had no idea he’d done so well to reach such an age. There’s a lot of pain to be had in a lifetime as can go through several generations of beloved pets but I wouldn’t have it any other way. He was very special.
