Clown JRTx 11.2006 - 07.11.2018

Post by xxlynne » Thu Oct 25, 2018 7:39 pm

Clown was destined tpo join his owner and left us this morning having had a very natural death with no suffering. We will go all out as ever to find Molly her new owners
Clown's thread below:
Molly & Clown's Story: Sadly Molly & Clown's owner was ill and then passed away. They have been in kennels since March 18. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their life. Both are neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated. They are now in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting their new family.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk; Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR WORK AND HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle in your home after adequate time and reassurance. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Molly & Clown's thread to view regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within seven days and complete an online homing questionnaire. We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes, and may be talking with up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes.
Molly & Clown's progress through our Rescue below:
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust. Original Referral information: 16.10.18: Molly & Clown...These are via Social Services and have been in since March 18 as owner was ill. He has passed away and there are no next of kin to take them, therefore the Social Services will let me have a week to home them. They re called Molly and Clown.
Molly is the rough coat Jack Russell, tan and white, female and 4 years old. She is spayed but need a teeth clean, I can get this done. Clown is male and I would age at about 10 years old, he is very vacant and I think has not taken to kennel life so well. He needs castration and again I can get this done. Both dogs are very sweet, Molly is a real cutie. Clown is more reserved but his stump (docked) wants to be excited. Both seem Ok with other dogs, but I think Clowns eyesight is not great as he can jump when approached so maybe not kids. Do you think you could maybe help these two? I will try and send some photo tomorrow.

Thanks so much

Vicky x

What a sweet pair, Molly is very confident, while Clown is reserved. Both were easy to take out of the kennel, no reaction to the other dogs. They walk very well together, Molly is a typical terrier, very interested in the trees on squirrel watch 0002.gif] . Clown walks well having a sniff in the undergrowth, they are both happy to take treats. It would be wonderful to see them in their forever home

I met these two for the first time yesterday. What a lovely pair! Little Molly is so sweet and friendly and just loved her walk, darting around on the lead for sniffs in the grass. Clown didn't feel himself I think and it saddened me to see him like this [cry.gif] . He wasn't too interested in the walk and refused all treats. This pair really do need a home.

So sad to see just now on facebook of the passing of Clown. I met him a couple of weeks ago when walking both Mollie and Clown with Jan. They were such a bonded pair and I am sure that Mollie will miss Clown so much. RIP Clown - now with your owner xx Candle.gif
