Coco's Story: Coco was 'rescued' by one of our volunteers from her original family, as circumstances didn't provide for her needs. She was fostered for a week and came into us today. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue. Coco will be neutered as part of the ownership contract by her future family pre season. Coco is chipped, and vaccinations are in progress. Coco was in boarding kennels near Gatwick then fostered temp with children whilst awaiting her new family.
If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and sadly due to unprecedented interest, we will only be able to contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.
Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.
Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.
Coco's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: One of our volunteered called to ask if we could offer Dakota a Rescue place to find her a stable appropriate home.
Coco came into our Rescue on the 8th June 2021

Re: Coco Cane Corsa DofB ?Feb 2021 Gatwick Kenns
Coco is understandably a little nervous on first meeting people but she quickly makes friends and enjoys the chance of going out. She is very calm for a puppy but oh so sweet and playful. Clearly she has a lot of growing to do as her feet are large! her coat is very soft and shiny, she loves a cuddle and she walks nicely on the lead.
I think the photos tell you all about her so feast your eyes..........

Oh my, what a beautiful young girl, cant wait to meet her as she sounds amazing
So sad that she has been cut like this, why are people so cruel

Absolutely amazing photos Anne
I treated myself to 2 walks with Coco today and she is quite simply beautiful, inside and out. Our first walk was with new walker Laura and I think it's safe to say that she stole both our hearts Coco was a wee bit shy in her kennel and setting off past her noisy neighbours, but once she found her feet she became the delightful and goofy puppy that she is This girl loves exploring and regularly looks up for reassurance and loves being told what a good girl she is, it's not hard she really is such a good girl. She was so very sweet when we passed Zion chilling out in the paddock with Anne, big old play bows, super keen to make friends,
I couldn't resist a second walk at the end of the day with Dakota, a little sniff and off we set. Once out Coco walks beautifully, this girl really takes everything in, she seems to love everyone and everything For a dog so young I was amazed at how calm and chilled out she is, she does have her puppy moments but this girl really listens and I think it's easy to forget Dakota is still so young as she is slightly larger than your average 4 month old puppy.
I absolutely fell in love with this darling girl today, for me Coco has it all, she is open and honest with the sweetest heart and the kindest nature
I know I've said it before but I'm going to say it again, whoever cropped this kind and beautiful girls ears in an attempt to make her look scary and fearsome, you knew nothing about this darling girl, she will always be an open and honest girl with the sweetest nature and a whole lot of love to give

Wow what an absolute beauty, I got to meet this beautiful girl today and she is such a sweetheart She was out in the paddock and was such a gentle soul when I entered, I had trouble putting on her harness so Eddie, bless him, gave me a hand and she was so patient but once buckled in off we set for a little stroll around the woods she was so pleased to be out and wanted to say hello to whoever we met along the way, she is definitely on my list to walk again

Re: Coco Cane Corsa DofB 14.02.21 Worcester Park Temp Foster
Lovely Coco has come to stay with us which is such a treat. For a big girl she is very gentle and a pleasure to have around. She has been great with everyone, and made a real impression
For a girl who is only still young she is calm and for a lot of the time quite docile but she does love to play as well and can get up quite a speed around the garden and occasionally over excited if you are sitting on the floor and she climbs all over you.
With the hot weather she has spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden in the shade or indoors on the sofa. She is a big girl who I would imagine will keep growing judging by the size of her paws and can contort herself into funny positions going to sleep.
Coco takes food very gently and has been great with my two girls who are 10 and 11. You do need to watch anything left on the floor though as she does love to chew
She walks very well on the lead and meets other dogs well so would be good to carry on socialising her as she gets older.
All in all Coco is a lovely girl who we have a massive soft spot for and would happily keep in different circumstances as she will make a wonderful and special addition to a family and bring immense joy. Hopefully her forever home will come soon.

I only met Coco a short at the kennels but she has got that big girl calm going on already even though she is just a pup.
She is going to be even more awesome with age. So glad she is in foster with coffeepot, and obviously thriving!

Re: Coco Cane Corsa DofB 14.02.21 Burghfield Common
Today was a special one for Coco, Mark and Laura travelled with their daughter for a meeting to see if she was the one to complete their family.
Coco was on fine form, gave them each a thorough sniff up and down and decided that they were just her sort of people and the feeling was mutual and so off they went.
She is going to have the most fantastic time and get so much deserved love and affection, be happy Dakota
Coco has already found her spot on the sofa
