It was lovely to meet Gareth as he arrived and parked his car before going into the kennels to meet Trudi. You can tell she is going to be so happy with him - such a lovely man taking home a lovely dog. Happy times ahead for them both. :smiley-bounce016.gi:

Dear Lynne, and everyone at Rescue Remedies who was touched by Trudi Lurcher,
I have taken Lynne's advice and reverted to calling her by her chipped name, because on day one with me, she responded to Ruby, whereas there was no recognition whatsoever to Trudi.
As you noted, Lynne, the bond already began at the kennels, and it has strengthened every day since. Now, beginning our third week together, it feels that we have always been together. I am thrilled that she is my companion. I love her so much.
The journey from you to Rickmansworth was uneventful and my worries were unfounded. She is a perfectly relaxed passenger when driving.
After exploring every part of her new home on arrival, she enjoyed a late lunch and looked forward to supper. She has a voracious appetite.
Socialising with other canines is improving by the day and having been introduced, a subsequent meeting with the same dog is remembered. Ruby is proving to be highly intelligent.
As the Eagles would sing, she certainly is "the new kid in town" with all the admiration she gains here in Rickmansworth.
And she is 3 today.
Thank you Lynne for the care she received whilst with you since April 2, and for carrying out your speedy homing procedure with me and Ruby.
Wishing you all the best!
Gareth

Ruby is an absolute treasure and is so lucky to have found you. Her mate Benny is now walking with Baxter when I walk him - he used to love his walks with sprightly Trudi as she was then. Enjoy your life with her - great to have found each other. :smiley-bounce016.gi:
