Having already had an earlier walk with Jan, Alfie got a second helping with his time out with Stan. With the woods lacking squirrels today it was a much calmer walk with Alfie and he decided to keep himself amused by stopping for a roll in the grass or leaves every so often, much to Stan’s bewilderment.

The more you take Alfie out, the more he relaxes and shows himself to you. Today he was more responsive to commands, including a good solid sit, and sought out a pat or two, which he hasn’t done previously. Whilst he is high energy, it’s more of an inquisitive energy and I think he’d happily be out all day, scampering from tree to tree searching for his little grey nemesis.

I walked Alfie for the first time today, I got a lovely greeting, he went straight to the shed to choose a toy, so sweet. Alfie walks a good pace, drops his toy to have a sniff. He saw a lot of squirrels much to his delight, Alfie was very good at passing dogs, he just looked at them, and concentrated on his toy, lovely boy positivo1.gif

Alfie joined Bruno as a double-act today and it was a combo that worked really well. The lads made hay in the sunshine and both appeared to appreciate the company. Alfie had to lead of course but each was very patient as the other took turns rolling in the long grass and leaves.

On the way back Alfie was treated to a bit of left over roast dinner which he loved so much he decided to jump in the back of our boot to find more! A really great character who gets more fun every walk you take him on.

a couple of walks last week with star terrier alfie - he likes having spencer as a walking partner and is more than happy to help him out with big sticks if spence cant quite manage one (as per picture) alfie has a v happy demeanour walks v well and seems v dog friendly although horses are to be avoided where possible as hes not a fan of the equine breed - overall its great spending time with alfie and he will make a great dog for some lucky family

Despite being a chilly start to the day, Alfie brightened that up with his usual perky greeting. Leashing up, we were quickly out of the grounds and off on a long walk. After a few walks at different times in the day, I’ve noticed the early walk is where Alfie is at his calmest and it was a slightly slower walk as he took in all the morning smells on the walk. At one point however he saw a squirrel and dialled right up to full throttle, charging down the path with me in tow!

A lovely way to start the day and full marks to Alfie for being a perfect dance partner for a woods walk. Also a big thumbs up on his total lack of reaction when coming across our two gorgeous greyhounds Ace and Lady (with Mon & Chris) who were also impeccably behaved.

Alfie joined up with Stan and Eddie to make a super terrier pack and set a blistering pace around the big loop today. Proudly carrying his Santa’s little helper elf toy around the whole walk, Alfie was very much the front runner, and kept his two smaller pals on their toes. It was funny to see him occasionally hit the squeak and see Eddie and Stan’s ears prick up.

He’s an absolutely top class terrier and it was lovely to see the three lads mesh so well together. Definitely a triumvirate to take out as a gang and good value for entertainment as they all have such funny mannerisms!

Had a super walk with little Alfie yesterday. He is a delightful, full of life character.
He enjoyed lots of rolling around in the grass and some squirrel watching.

Picking Alfie up from the paddock today, I could tell by his greeting that he was ready for a big walk out. Full of beans, he didn’t even break stride for a look at the toy shed and instead headed straight out into the woods. Alfie was really good with other dogs today and kept calm despite quite a lot of people out and about.

This gorgeous boys antics are so nice to watch and, in the great spring weather, we had an action packed hour across woods and fields plus a dip in the river. Anyone who enjoys walking would find a constant companion in Alfie. He’s an absolute treasure and fingers crossed this lad gets partnered up with his active human ASAP!

I met little Alfie today. He appear not to be phased by anything. He loves his walks and as said before he moves at a pace! He is such a terrier and is always on the trail of something. We had a little dip in the river but mainly for a drink. We spent an hour out attached to his pink squeaky ball he chose prior to his walk from the store. On return we went to the paddock where he spotted a deer. Glad it was the other side of the fence. He has such a terrier. On our way back to his kennel he routed out a dead vole. He tried eating it but a bit too chewy so he thought he would scent himself with it instead. He is a lovely lad , who is affectionate and a little poppet.

The adorable Alfie joined Chase and Rachel for a mega walk around the woods today. This Black and Tan superstar just gets more of a joy to walk each week and we’ve now moved into a ‘play’ phase now where we’ll do a bit of tug of war before having a cuddle. Alfie was quick to find plenty of new smells on our walk and something really flicked his terrier sixth sense on as he went charging around the fields, nose to ground. Some actions snaps of this handsome chap:
