What a lovely time I spent with Princess out for a leisurely Sunday stroll. Princess is great company, very sociable and gentle on the lead. Princess is a warm soul and so deserving of a forever home.

Princess has found a lovely forever home with Eleanor and her parents in Brighton. They travelled along the coast to us in New Romney and immediately fell in love with the affectionate girl.
Princess is very fortunate as there is always somebody at home to look after her.

Princess came back into our care Christmas Eve. Princess as with so many Staffies / Bullbreeds she gets defensive with other dogs in her face. Unfortunately a chance meeting walking straight into another dog around the corner meant an altercation resulted and she was bought back the same day.

Princess continues to wow us as a Rescue. We will ensure that she continues to have controlled contact around other dogs and a respectful distance assured. She can make friends through parallel walking as she did within her foster placement but she needs a family astute to random dogs crowding her space.

Princess is an 11 year old girl and so obviously her family should expect aspects of age to be inherent in her demeanour and love her in her old age.

I was so sad to see a bewildered Princess back at kennels this morning. We had a lovely walk, she was so friendly, loving and well behaved. Princess walks nicely and we encountered quite a few dogs, and apart from looking, Princess did not react at all as I kept our distance and we just passed them by. Lovely, gentle girl who should not be in kennels and I'm sad she is here over the holidays, but I'm sure someone who appreciates an older dog will find time for her and offer a nice home and garden, with some gentle walks thrown in. Beautiful girl.

That's sad. As an owner of two big dogs that can be reactive in that situation, it's something you learn to anticipate.

That is giving up on Princess far too soon. As a new owner, you have to learn and understand a new dog and take appropriate actions, where necessary. What these people have done is thrown in the towel at the first sign of trouble. May be they should get a cuddly toy dog next time.
