We have owned Dogue de Bordeauxs for over 17 years and so are very biased about the breed, but Mylo is such a typical DDB, but without all the slobber!!!! Win, win if you are thinking of adopting him and are maybe a little put off by the thought of bucketful's of drool! It was our first time meeting and walking him this weekend.
Mylo was so easy to harness and walked past other dogs like a dream. He does pull with excitement when you start the walk, but soon settles down. He is a big dog so has the strength of a big dog. As long as you are prepared for this his strength should not surprise you. I am sure given time, patience and love his lead walking would improve. He just loves being on a walk and investigating everything around him.

Mylo loved the river and couldn't wait to get in and have a paddle. He is 6years old so not the youngest boy but he is still full of fun. From our walks with him so far I don't think he will want massive walks every day, most DDB's don't, so a perfect dog for less active people! Contrary to popular belief DDB's don't need a lot of space in the house if they have the exercise they want. They sleep...and sleep...and sleep! So what does Mylo need? A warm, comfy place to sleep, a few toys to chew and play with, good food and loads of love and TLC.I can't wait until next week end to spend time with him again. Though of course I would love it even more if he had found his forever home by then!

Took Mylo out to the paddock for the first time. What a lad. Quite strong coming out, but on reaching the paddock had settled. We had a ball game and threw some footballs for him, which he loved to destroy. On returning to kennels he was much calmer, after running off some energy. Lovely boy.

Mylo was found stray today. His owner Jo has just moved house and somehow he got out. This afternoon he was returned to his family with great relief.
